The Sony BRAVIA XR A80L 55-inch has completely exceeded my expectations — and that’s saying something because this is my second Sony OLED. I already knew Sony made incredible televisions, but the A80L somehow manages to raise the bar even higher. The picture quality is simply breathtaking. The OLED panel delivers perfect blacks, incredible contrast, and colors that look natural and lifelike without being oversaturated. Whether I’m watching 4K movies, streaming shows, or regular HD content, everything looks sharp and detailed. The XR processor really shines when it comes to upscaling — even older content looks clean and refined. Motion handling is smooth and clear, which makes a huge difference during sports and action scenes. There’s no blur, no strange artifacts — just fluid, realistic movement. And when it comes to movies, especially in darker scenes, the depth and shadow detail are phenomenal. You notice subtle things you may have missed before. Sound quality is another highlight. The built-in Acoustic Surface Audio+ technology is surprisingly immersive. Dialogue sounds like it’s coming directly from the screen, and the overall audio is rich and balanced. While a soundbar always adds extra punch, this TV sounds better on its own than most I’ve owned. Setup was straightforward, and the Google TV interface is fast and easy to navigate. This tv exceeds my expectations! I keep finding more and more things to love about it. NGL, my main reason for choosing Sony was because I love my PS5 and spend significant time playing. The second reason is I needed an upgrade and can finally afford an OLED. The picture quality is stunning, crisp, deep and colorful. The blacks are really black and the brights are vibrant. I love the Ambience feature and all the creative, beautiful packages I can download for free. It is easy to setup and walked us through how to get the most out of the TV picture and audio settings. The sound is also worth mentioning; it has impressive built in speakers but I’d strongly suggest buying a proper sound system. We already own a Sony system and the tv synced up with it without us doing anything. Last thing, it came with credits from Sony Core to use toward IMAX and 8k movies (free!!) and a free year subscription. Last last thing, the tv works easily with iPhone/appleTV even while using Google UI/features. I’m very happy with this purchase. ... show more

I bought on prime day, with a free delivery unpack service. However, not only the delivery experience is really awful, but the product has two unbearable issue which I am not sure if this is only I had a bad one or all this model has the same problem. First let’s talk about the delivery experience: 1, the delivery guy doesnt wear shoe cover to enter my home, cause lots of dirt on my floor. 2, when they try to install the leg of the tv, they put the tv face down on the tv package which has tons of dirt on it so the screen was covered by dust and dirt after they flip it back. Also when they move the tv they hold it with hand and finger on the screen makes finger print on it and hard to remove. 3, after they put it on the shelf, they main guy ask me to sign so they can leave, I said I have to check if there’s any flaw so I can return it right now to save any trouble, this is written on the explaination on the service page but the guy doesn’t know and keep sayingtheir job is only assemble. Lastly I can’t argue with them because the main guy doesn’t speak English at all and the one who speaks a little English can’t explain both sides. so I just signed it then I’ll Check it by myself. I couldn’t believe Amazon has such a bad delivering into home service, this usually cost 30$ but it’s prime day so it’s free this time, but I’ll never order this service for sure based on this experience Ok so after they left, I started to set up the tv with google account, I’m having another two Sony tvs in my old house so I know all the drill to avoid those ads. Here’s the problem, this tv is extremely laggy on the remote control, whenever I press directions, it always has to wait approximately 0.5-1 sec to response, this seems like the cpu or memory couldn’t handle the workload, but I’m at the setting up stage, it doesn’t make any sense since it’s a 2300$ new version Sony tv. Another thing is the brightness problem, I know it’s my first OLED tv, I know the blackness is great, but I never heard of the brightness should be a problem, since I can’t even watch clear unless I put it on vivid picture mode which it’s too sharp, any other modes are not bright at all even it’s on max brightness. So I’m trying to replace this to see if the one I got is a flaw one or all a80L are laggy and dark. It’s my first time writing a review during my 10+year prime, and I’ll update when I get the replacement ... show more
