I bought and have lived with this TV for about two weeks. 3 grand is a lot for a 65 inch TV, when others can be bought for a lot less. I had been reading reviews for the A95K for a while, and many reviewers had said that this one may be the best there is. What motivated me to go ahead and buy, was the new technology that Sony came up with for the built-in sound. I have no desire to get a sound bar, and watch my TV with the TV sound 75% of the time, and only put the sound thru my stereo, using glass fiber-optic cable, for movies and sports. The speakers behind the display, and 2 subwoofers on the back give great sound for most listening. The picture is very sharp and detailed, and was a big step up from the 52 inch Sony Bravia it replaced. Setup with all my external peripherals was a bit challenging, but I enjoyed the challenge. I am a bit paranoid about the burn-in that OLED TVs are known for, so I am more careful about pausing video to do something else. The picture, compared to the same size Samsung, is warmer and more natural, with less of the reach out and grab you color. I may never have the best car or the best house on the market, but I feel that for a while, I have the best TV on the market. Highly recommended. ... show more

First of all, the included 2 years and 10 free movies on Bravia Core are amazing. The service is basically as good as watching a Bluray except better! The service has many Imax HDR films that pop like not even a Bluray can do. The best image quality hands down and I'm subscribed to pretty much everything. The TV itself has just jaw dropping visuals, there's no way to put into words. If you are coming from a lesser tv, you WILL see a big difference. Also, the sound system is far better than it has any right to be, and I have a very nice soundsystem already. It's not as nice as that, but it's nicer sounding than any TV I've ever heard, and 99% of people would be blown away by what it can do. So we conveniently arrived right when the TV showed up and I assisted the delivery driver in getting it into my doorway. It was clearly noticable that this things weighs as advertised. Before he leaves i do a once over of the box to ensure it wasnt damaged. It wasnt. I remove the old TV and begin setting it up. There are multiple layers of warnings telling you to not do this by yourself. Unfortunately my wife is pregnant and cannot lift that much so going solo was my fate. I pulled all the extras off the top nooks and crannies and i opened the directions to try to get something assembled prior to taking it out. I assembled the remote and thats it. I proceeded to take the outer box off to look inside at the beauty. I follow the directions and get the stand out which is easily 2/3 of the weight in the box. I set that up on my tv stand. I get the pegs on and go to take the TV out. The TV is large heavy and awkward and has no hand holds what so ever. I had to grip the sides in order to get it out and get the plastic off. I kept the Styrofoam screen cover on until the end. I set it all up and secured it then I started on cables. Easy cable installation just like any TV. There's more though.. this TV was meant for cable management! I had to reroute cables because you have 3 peices that covers all the wires. The only thing I can see after those is my powerblock where everything plugs into. Amazing thoughtfulness on Sonys part. I went to go do the setup. I connected my Google account and it imported everything that I watch and use for media including passwords. Amazing. We watched some videos on netflix,crunchyroll, and YouTube and quality was astounding. The auto brightness and sounds from Bravia is well executed. Currently my wife is playing her video games using the 4k hdmi plug and it is astounding. No complaints other than I should have listened to directions. ... show more

I purchased this TV from the Sony Store on Amazon in November of 2022. Despite having great reviews—both on Amazon and Youtube—the TV is barely functional less 2 years later. Currently the TV will turn off on it's own (as if the power was pulled on it) and it will strobe a red LED 4 times. After speaking with customer support and 3rd party repair services (which are over an hour away from me), it looks like the cost to repair the TV will range from $150–$450 and will take between 1-2 weeks. I find it hard to believe I spent over $2,400 and got a TV that didn't even function after a year and 9 months. I should have been more skeptical when I saw Sony pushing their extended warranty services on me immediately upon starting the TV. I think these TVs were made to go bad shortly after the factory warranty expires as it is exactly what happened to me. All-in-all, I'd steer clear of any Sony TVs if this is how they're built. It can be especially annoying if there aren't repair services near you. UPDATE (08/15/2025) I finally caved and drove to the repair place because I didn't want to just e-waste the thing. Cost me wayyy more ≈$900 plus time and gas driving over and hour to get it repaired. Brought it home and it does the exact same thing not even a day after getting it repaired. The QD-OLED panel in this A95K convinced me it was time to take the plunge on OLED, after waiting almost 10 years for the technology to mature. I've had the TV about 6 weeks now and with every moment spent watching content, I'm glad I purchased this. The picture quality is on a whole other level compared to anything else I've seen before. Much better motion smoothness than the LG C2, which seems jerky to me. Only gripe about this is the Google TV interface, which (like every other Google product) still seems to be in beta testing. It's not a polished product. Installing new apps sometimes fails mysteriously. So far, uninstalling and reinstalling the app fixes it. Great OLED panel and hardware build quality. Not impressed by the software, but it gets out of the way enough to let me do what I expect from a TV: watch stuff. I exclusively stream content through the Google TV apps (e.g. Netflix, Prime, HBO), have not tested and no use for external input for movies or live TV. ... show more

My tv arrived with fingerprints all over the screen and an already slightly warped and discolored base. My assumption is that I somehow ended up with a floor model or something. Nonetheless, this is a beautiful TV with absolutely gorgeous color. I would buy it again. First, I tried the flagship sony OLED from last year, and it arrived with damage on the screen so I had to return it. Upon approval of that return, soon after it left my home, I discovered that I could order this QD-OLED instead, the 65 inch. So I happen to have seen both, and the color on the QD-OLED is much better, much brighter than on the OLED. It is beautiful. I've never seen a TV even close to this. I actually wanted a new tv mainly to use with the PS5, and I'm here to confirm: it's mind-blowing. The reworked remote is nice - I appreciate the simplicity. The mic integration seems kind of sloppy (everything seems to go straight to search, with not much integration with system menu settings), o/w the system seems pretty okay and easy to use. I like the way the google tv puts all your shows from different services in one place. When I ordered this, I opted for the nice delivery option where they unbox it for you and even install it. More than happy with the product thus far. Brighter than previous Gen OLEDs. Dark Details and colors exceeds the LG G2. Picture quality in all modes is exceptional. Crisp and sharp. A bit on the pricey side when considering the same panel in the Samsung is roughly 40% less. There are some things that justify the price premium but it’s a bit too much. The one thing I was not at all happy about was a dirty screen out of the box. The box was not damaged in the least. There is nothing over the screen when packed but a slim styrofoam cover taped over it. I competed the installation and the last thing before powering up was to remove the styrofoam cover. I was honestly expecting a protective film and was disappointed to find there isn’t any. I was doubly disappointed to find huge finger and palm prints all over the screen and some rub marks from the styrofoam. A simple wipe with a brand new microfiber cloth would not clean the smudges. Distilled water slightly damp on one followed immediately with a dry cloth also did nothing. Fortunately I had some non soap cleaner and managed to get it clean but even that was a challenge. One should not have to clean smudges from a brand new, factory sealed TV that you pay a hefty premium for. I was extremely disappointed and nearly put it back in the box for a return over this. I have the 40’ 90k for ps5 and when I got this 65 inch it wasn’t really impressive being that I was already impressed with the 90k and the whole OLED stuff. What’s impressive is the speakers they sounds amazing and very loud. The 90k and c2 looked the same to me no difference apart from Sony has this feature which they turn on to make the interface and the whole menu/apps look dimmer until you scroll to what you want and it lights up. What I’m saying is if you put Sony 90k, or this 95k with any of the lg c2,c3 the lg will look to be brighter but that’s not the case only the menu looks like that but when you play the same content on both at the same time Sony always come out brighter. The Sony OLED tv truly shines when using ps5 the quality is outstanding, don’t get me wrong LG is great and it’s even faster with the menu and apps it’s better for content and gaming but if you want the best quality Sony wins easily. When I played movies on Sony trying to see what’s the difference with out a side by side comparison I didn’t get any difference. I had to put both side by side to notice Sony is brighter. However when it came to gaming something I do mostly, I instantly noticed how better the quality was on Sony and I can turn up the colors to 100 making the quality look life like while still maintaining the same color tone, with lg if I go too much some characters start looking orange but with Sony it spot on. ... show more
