  • Works in Zigbee2MQTT and HomeAssistant perfactly
Got this to replace another zigbee valve that had issues for automated sprinklers. Got this one because I recognized the brand, being my zigbee coordinator is a sonoff as well. Connected to zigbee2mqtt for homeassistant instantly, automatons operating with absolutely no issues. I have this in use pretty far away from my coordinator, and it has 0 issues connecting through the mesh with the closest router device about 20 ft away. ... show more

  • the best Home Assistant device I have so far
I just use it to turn the outdoor faucet on and off but I think you can do more. Specifically, I had to grow some new grass in the back yard. Put a sprinkler hose across the area. Thought I would program Home Assistant to just handle it, but never got around to that because I don’t yet have the HA programming skills . Instead, I set up an iphone shortcut so I can say “turn on/off outdoor faucet”. You can also just walk up to the faucet and push a button on the sonoff device. Crucial for the non-IOT spouse or when you don’t have the phone. Battery life has been fine. No problems linking to Home assistant using the HA zigbee accessory. Looks well made. No leaks. ... show more

  • Don't even bother water pressure is close to nothing when in-line.
If there were a choice for NO STARS I would have chosen that. Placed the device in line with a hose and just barely a trickle came out, not enough to power a small sprinkler. Moved over to another hose bib that may have more pressure very close to the main water inlet into the house and tried again. The same thing happened just a trickle of water coming out. Have started the return process, kind of sad there are not many of these devices out there to chose from if ANY others I have yet to find that works with Zigbee and Home Assistant. It did pair correctly but that's about it. ... show more

  • Set it and forget it
I use it with HA to refill my dogs' water everyday. One change of battery last the whole year. The flow measurement isn't reliable but other than that, no issues. If you're having connection issues, using cheap zigbee repeater plugs can help.

  • Great for Home Assistant automating drip irrigation
I bought two of these for automating some Raindrip drip irrigation sprinklers in a front yard and side yard garden. I use Home Assistant with the Zigbee2MQTT integration for controlling Zigbee devices. These sprinkler valves connected instantly to Home Assistant, and thanks to my existing Zigbee mesh, I haven't had any issues losing connection. I set up an automation to run the sprinklers for half an hour every morning and evening, and even after an entire season, they only decreased about 5% of their battery. I didn't have any leaks either, even with the slightly higher pressure of using drip sprinklers (instead of an open-ended watering system) but I also added an extra rubber o-ring just as a precaution. I highly recommend these. ... show more

  • Great for the price and features
Takes a little getting use to, as there's not much information included as far as default functions, like what it'll do if it loses signal or max run time, or even how to ensure it has good signal in the first place. the most frustrating thing was that in using it with home assistant via zigbee, and it being located outside was difficulty in the zigbee signal reaching it, prob cuz my zigbee adapter isn't a v3 like this device is. Which i think explains my limited range and low signal level and seeming inability to update to the latest firmware, though it did update it one version but not after that. Ive figured out that putting a zigbee light in the room nearest the outdoor spigot its connected to has fixed it losing signal and dropping off the network, which when this happened it would require reaadding the device by going outside to it and then running back in to add it in the system. Also it doesn't say anywhere but if it does drop off the network due to low signal and it's on it to turn off automatically after 20 minutes, but other than it not turning back on via command there's no way to tell by looking at it that it's not longer connected. but once u get it consistent signal it never drops off anymore. it has a sensor to measure flow rate but it has to be significant flow to get a reading, so Mister or drip systems will read as 0 usually. Its a great product for the price, solid. I would recommend not leaving it in direct Sun, i put a shade in front of it to prevent it from drying out and cracking the plastic body. battery life is as advertised it seems so far. ... show more

  • Great Zigbee mesh device for Smart Home Controllers, works with manual button as well.
Simple to install. Put HomeSeer into "Add a Zigbee Device" and when I closed the battery tray it immediately found this device and added it to the system. Works with both direct "push the button on the side" as well as through the smart home system, with good range even through 8-inch-thick concrete walls and three stories from the zigbee antenna/nearest mesh device. I can choose to run water for either time expended or volume of water delivered, through the HS. I'll probably buy another one (happily if our drought here in central Texas resumes). It is important to remember that these, like the dumb versions, have plastic male and female adapters which will break if you pull hard enough on the attached water hose. ... show more

  • Threads might be a problem
I purchased 2 of these, 1 had Hose threads on both ends, the other had 3/4" pipe threads on the female end and hose threads on the male end. Needed to get an adapter
