I have tried to make a smart home, it is not top of the class smart but gets pretty good grades anyway. The problem has always been an ap for this, an ap for that, and I never remembered what ap was for what. THSIS solved my problem. It works very well and I have 80% of all my devices now on one interface. Don't get me wrong, this was a PAIN to setup and configure, as techie as I am, this made me work for it. But, that said, I do like it.

It's a private local server for secure home automation and local data storage. With the Central Gateway, I'm now able to control my appliances, lights, and security systems even when I'm away. It is highly customizable and compatible with a variety of devices. Setup was a breeze with the intuitive interface and guides, and I'm able to program and link scenes for convenience and energy efficiency. The local data storage ensures that my data remains private and secure, which was a major concern for me. I'm very impressed by the Sonoff iHost and I believe it's a great option if you're looking for a top of the line smart home hub.

I needed a solution to internet loss and no control of smart home devices. I found the answer with the SONOFF iHost Smart Home Hub. It was one of the easiest installations ever. The device went into pairing mode as soon as it powered on. It paired with my cellphone within seconds. I gave the hub access to my other hubs and gateways. Everything worked as it should. I now have control of my entire home even without WiFi or internet access. I am impressed with how easy SONOFF made this process. The device is small and can fit just about anywhere it has access to Cat cable and power.

This Sonoff iHost Smart Home Hub packs a lot of punch for such a small device. Whether you already have a smart home set up or are just getting started, this hub is pretty simple to get setup and running. This hub will allow you to connect and manage all of your sensors in one interface. With the ability to add automations, this little hub can do quite a lot. Everything needed was included and the included documentation was perfect to get started. Pretty impressed with this little hub so far.

SONOFF makes a lot of very nice smart home devices. The SONOFF iHost Smart Home Hub is an easy to use smart home controller that doesn't require everything to go out to the Internet in order to turn a light on and off. It is compatible with Zigbee and Wifi devices but as far as I can tell it does not work with Z-wave or Insteon devices

I was looking for a smart home hub that would make it simple and easy to add in sensors like door and window, motion, temperature, light bulbs, and power plugs. Given Sonoff's background in this category of products, this seemed like a no brainer, as they build all of these devices. It promised an update to Matter, meaning it will be compatible with the future, a good thing to have in 2023. The letdown on this device happened very quickly: several of my motion and temperature sensors wouldn't work, even though they are on the "supported" list. The setup instructions to add some of the features they promise, such as Node-Red, are very intensive and convoluted. And control over the devices that it can see are very basic. Compared to solutions like Samsung SmartThings or Home Assistant, this device feels rushed and half-baked. I can see where they are going with the device, and the market does need some other players in it. However, until this hub gets more software and user experience work done to it, I would stay clear of it and go with an established and well-supported brand.
