Don't think I'd buy another OX product. Sounds good, made in Germany and all that, but quality was just average at best. Yellow paint stinks and is unnecessary (never found on high quality axes such as Grandfors Bruk), handle fitting just OK, and the sheath was a joke, some crappy thin vinyl thing that started to fall apart the first week. For about the same money, consider Snow & Nealley, made in the U.S. If you have the extra dough, the Swedish brands have the right vibe and are generally good quality. ... show more

While this was the nicest axe I have ever used I was only able to use it for 2 hours. After those 2 hours of constant use I went to pull it out of the wood and the handle came right off the axe head. The handle is just NOT strong enough for any real hatchet work. The only reason I gave the product 2 stars is because I loved the axe head and I will be replacing the handle with hickory. Really wish they just sold the head separate so I could put my own handle in it. ... show more
