OK.... you can find any way to use these lights and they are really bright. I put my lights along a rock wall on the lower terrace of my terraced yard. The upper terrace has some other lights on it. But I tilted these garden lights to illuminate the rock... and it looks really great in the total darkness. Two of my adjacent neighbors whom I speak with very little have now put garden lights in their yards. I went out the other night to be in the yard and be with the light and was greeted by a skunk. ---- The lights have spikes on them that you assemble then press into the ground. Just be careful as these work best in soft soil. If you soil is hard use a hammer and a doll rod to make a hole then put the light spike into the premade hole. ... show more

    • Pretty but the stakes are useless

The lights themselves are attractive with the metal and the LED lights. The light itself is a pleasing warm color and if they get a full day of sunlight they will glow for 6 or so hours. The stakes are horrid little things; they have 4 tiny posts you are supposed to match up with holes in the back of the light and those tiny posts break off easily. And getting those tiny posts to match with the holes blindly is no fun. Also, the lights come off the posts incredibly easy, say with a foot nudge. I have finally given up and just set them where I want them, no stakes at all. Time will tell how they will do but it does make it easier to just pick them up when I need to mow the lawn then set them back down. ... show more

I was looking for solar lights that are still bright enough to light a pathway in our backyard, when guests are leaving. These are really great. It's easy enough to assemble them and they work pretty well in order to put into the ground. I have a backyard with a lot of rocks and the the plastic definitely needs a soil ground, but they were surprisingly stable, even in hard soil. After reading some reviews I was a little worried and just put the lights out in the sun without putting them in the ground, but they were very light and all of the worked great. I then put them in the ground in the areas I was trying to light the pathway and they have been great. All of them worked and the light they throw off is pretty amazing. These work so great! Left them out all winter and they still work great. Simple to put in the yard. Just make sure they are far enough away from being hit accidentally by the mower/weed wacker. We’ve had to replace a few after two years of use, but was due to damage we caused. Once they get a crack, allows for water damage and need to be replaced. I'd be happy to write a review for the 12-Pack Solar Ground Lights! Overall, I have been quite pleased with these lights. They are easy to install and provide a lovely warm glow that adds a touch of ambiance to my garden at night. The fact that they are solar-powered is a big plus, as I don't have to worry about running any electrical wires or changing batteries. The lights themselves are fairly small, but they are surprisingly bright and provide a good amount of light. They are also sturdy and seem to be holding up well so far, even in the rain and wind. One thing to note is that they do take a little while to charge fully, so if you want them to be at their brightest all night, make sure to give them plenty of time in the sun during the day. That said, even on cloudy days they seem to hold a charge pretty well and still provide a decent amount of light. Overall, I would definitely recommend these lights to anyone looking to add a little extra ambiance to their outdoor space. They are affordable, easy to install, and provide a lovely warm glow that really makes a difference. ... show more

I purchased one 12 light set. They worked fine so I ordered another set. One light in the second set didn't work. I've tried to e-mail the company twice and each time it comes back as undeliverable.
