We hang stuff off the trees and bushes in front of the house but by the time the Sun goes down, it's too dark to see them. I was a bit sad when I realized I hadn't put them out to charge but when I turned the switch on, they came on. It seems they were pre-charged which is really nice. They lasted well beyond the last little demons and angels had been and gone. We'll be using these for other upcoming holidays, I'm sure. The lights are easy to assemble. You just put the light right into the stake and you're done. They're adjustable up and down with a large screw to loosen and tighten. Update. I increased the stars to 4 because the vendor reached out after my post unsolicited and offered to correct the problem. Great customer service. I purchased a four pack, but after 5.5 months one of them stopped working. I like the way they look and they are easy to operate and install. They have three brightness settings. For my use, the dimmest setting is bright enough and they last all night before needing a recharge. The way they are designed, you cannot take them apart to try to repair them so if they fail so the only choice is to throw them away. ... show more

3 levels of brightness you can set. The brighter the level the less time it will run. Easy assembly and infstallation with ground spikes or flush mount for walls or eaves (equipment provided). Highly recommend that you charge them fully on a bright sunny day before first use.

Purchased these on sale a few weeks ago. First time they had a full day's charge on sunlight they stayed on for about 4 hours before turning off. In the weeks since then, we now get about 1-2 hours of light out of them before they turn off (the light panels have been cleaned for full charging). The short-lived batteries in these devices is the reason for the 3 star review. The product itself is of decent quality, the solar panel was easy enough to clean after getting dirty from the elements and the button at the back of the light is easy enough to reach to change the color. Ultimately, we decided to purchase plug-in spotlights for the front of the house that are wireless enabled and provide light reliably.
