I bought these SOLPEX solar lights for my fence and patio, and they really make the place look cozy at night. The warm white glow is soft and gives a nice touch to the yard. They turn on by themselves when it gets dark, which is super convenient. What I liked: • Very easy to put up – just a couple of screws. • No wires needed since they charge from the sun. • The pack comes with enough lights to cover a big area. • They still work fine after rain, so the waterproofing is solid. Things to watch out for: • One of my lights didn’t work, so make sure you test all of them after setting up. • They are more for decoration than strong lighting. If you need a super bright light, these aren’t it. Suggestion: If these lights were a bit brighter, they would be an even better deal and add more value. These are great little lights. I live in an upstairs apartment with old wooden stairs and you can't really see them at night. The lights aren't crazy bright, but give off enough light that I'm not concerned about feet placement when it's dark out any longer. These are pretty but the failure rate is 20-30% in one year. These also work intermittently: today they work but yesterday they didn’t, yet the sunny blue skies were exactly the same.     • Simple fix if any are not working out of the box

I bought 32 of these lights. 4 of the 32 were not working out of the box but it is an easy fix to make them work. Simply unscrew the battery housing (2 small screws) and reseat the rechargeable AA battery. The battery connectors are pretty flimsy and the battery can come unseated during shipment. Took me 5 minutes to fix the 4 that were not working so now 100% of the lights work great. They are perfect for our deck and look great from a distance too. Also when the rechargeable batteries eventually go dead (all batteries will go dead at some point) just order new rechargeable batteries and replace and you should be good to go. I expect these to last a good long time if properly maintained. ... show more
