  • Another 5 Star Product from Solo!
Style: W/O Gas Burner
I have had this for two days and cannot say enough about how easy and fun it is to use. I went with the standard wood fired version rather than the propane. Just get a good fire burning in the back tray using cigar size chunks of wood, let the pizza stone heat up a lot, and you are ready to go. After that, it takes a little bit of attention to keep the fire going. Just add another chunk or two of wood every few minutes. The first day I experimented with Boboli crust and Pilsbury refrigerated pizza dough since I did not have time to make my own dough. The results were outstanding with many friends saying it was the best pizza they had. Some tips - use lots of corn meal when using raw dough so it slides off easily. Start with a smaller chunk of dough until you get the hang of it. A full size pizza peel is nice for putting the dough into the oven, but a large spatula or smaller pizza peel is nice to have on hand for rotating the pizza in the oven. After letting it cook for about 30-45 secs, rotate it lots so it cooks evenly and does not stick to the stone. Good luck and have fun! ... show more

  • Best home made pizza!
Style: W/O Gas Burner
Quality craftsmanship! Heat is crazy with little to no fuel. I cut some oak into 4 inch long pieces and maybe 1 inch thick. I feed one of those 1x4 pieces a few minutes before putting the pie in the oven. Turn often to get even cooking on all sides. About 2 minutes per pie give or take a few seconds. Use 7 oz dough ball pressed by 12” tortilla press for best results. ... show more

  • Rusted within 6 month not covered under warranty
Used it 3 times within 6 month of storing it in the shed the oven is rusted inside and out. I live in dry desert area of CA. Solo Stove is saying it won’t be covered under “Lifetime Warranty” because it is a aesthetic not functional issue. This is a cooking oven I don’t know how rust is ok and not covered under warranty. One of the advertisement sentence says “durable stainless steel” I don’t know what grade of stainless steel they use but I expected better quality with the price I paid. Solo Stove recommended me to try to wipe the oven down to see if the rust will go away. I wouldn’t buy another solo stove if this is the service they offer. ... show more

  • Great Pizza Oven!
This was a gift for my wife who has wanted a pizza oven for a long time. She absolutely loves it and the pizza tastes great. We have been using strictly the propane option since we bought it but looking forward to her using the wood burning option as well. it was a learning curve for her to make the perfect pizza but once she mastered it, they are great. The only issues we have had have been our fault and not the products. ... show more

  • Its works great!
We received this pizza oven today and have already made seven or eight pizzas. We were using our Traeger to make pizza and it’s night and day how much better the pizza oven is. Very happy so far. And full.

  • Not a bad option
If you try to use the wood over the gas for whatever reason the heat is uncontrollable and the pizza stone for whatever reason doesn’t heat up enough, so the bottom of the pizza can stay dough at times you have to almost overcook it
