Just installed this fixture--it really brightened up the bathroom. It was a tight space, with not a lot of room above the mirror. This fixture fit great! I had a certain price range I wanted to remain in, and this fixture fit the budget and the space. Be aware that it is designed to be mounted in with an existing electrical box, which I discovered was not used in mounting the previous fixture (thanks, builder!).     • Beautiful vanity light but tricky installation

This is a beautiful vanity light (I bought the 5 light version) and it is of high quality. The light is indeed bright - and I probably will install a dimmer. But for now, the light is great and I am happy with the final product. My only real issue is the installation which is tricky because it is quite heavy and difficult to install without help. By this, I refer to attaching the light assembly (the part that you see) to the base plate. They provide the tiniest screws that are so small that they are difficult to install. This is true even with a ladder which I used because I did not want to stand on the new vanity countertop. A better solution would be to provide larger, thumb screws for the top part of the assembly or another solution to align the base plate with the light assembly. Other than this, I am very pleased with this purchase. ... show more

Fixture was great until it wasn't. Beautiful and bright but the driver failed after only 18 months. This should last 20 years. I cannot recommend.

I bought one, assuming as an LED it would have a long life, it only lasted 3 years. obviously finding the right parts and fixing it was not easy and since painters had painted around it I had to buy the same thing again! next time I am painting my bath room I will remove it and replace it with another fixture that I can change the light bulb if they go out. ... show more

Received our light a week ago. With unpackaging, although a corner of the box had been slightly scrunched somewhere along the line the packing was excellent and there was no damage. That the light was covered with a heavy plastic bag was helpful as were the white cotton gloves which were used to handle the fixture. The design was sleek, modern and clearly different from non-LED fixtures. Putting the light up was an easy process -- My wife and I completed removal of the old fixture and hanging the new one in under an hour. -- but it does require two people: One pair of hands to connect the wiring using wire nuts and one to hold the fixture while doing so. The light is white and bright -- just what we wanted. One reviewer complained about the delay between turning on the switch and the light coming on. By my estimate this is less than a second and is not a problem. A week or so after the box was delivered we got a letter in the mail from SOLFART pointing out and explaining the guarantee and discussing the more common problems which people might have and how to fix them.
