This process does not produce open flames, enhancing safety in the workplace and minimizing damage to the surrounding work area. The machine fan does not have a switch and will not turn off？ The machine is designed to run continuously to ensure proper ventilation and cooling. If you need to turn it off, simply unplug the power cord. The machine cannot heat up / takes too long to heat up. The machine's heating principle operates through magnetic field heating. The metallic properties of the object being heated will affect the heating efficiency, as will the environment and the size of the object being heated. After use, it cannot be used again. The machine has an overheating protection system that activates, indicated by a yellow light, rendering it unusable temporarily. Do not unplug it; the fan will continue cooling it down. Will it heat the plastic, rubber, or nearby hoses? No. Energy concentrates inside the coil loop, interacting only with conductive metals (steel/iron). The cool exterior lets you work near sensitive parts without collateral damage. Is it safe to use the machine? The machine operates using magnetic field heating. I was eyeing this and another unit up for a while but hadn't pulled the trigger. When someone I knew mentioned they got this unit on sale, I pounced. It was quickly put to use to loosen some really stubborn suspension nuts and bolts. It does take a minute to before you realize it's working quite well. And the parts will get HOT. I've gotten parts starting to glow red before I backed off and carefully wrangled it off with two wrenches. Pros: Heats up parts quickly. Includes enough wires to tackle most jobs. The wires are flexible and different lengths, so you can customize the angle, size, and configuration of what you are trying to heat up. You won't need to hold it for very long. It's a decent size--not tiny but not gargantuan. Lightweight and easy to assemble. Plus it comes with a nice case. Cons: Wish it had a way stay on without holding the button--it can be uncomfortable at length, or if it's something you need 2 hands for. ... show more

Works great for rusty bolts. Unfortunately it doesn't work well for anything smaller than 10mm, and for broken studs it doesn't seem to work at all. But, it worked great for the one bolt I bought it for so there's that.

This clone is nothing like an authentic Bolt Buster. Frankly, having used an authentic one for years, the Solary in comparison is terrible. It just doesn't perform. It is advertised as the same wattage, but I cannot believe that it is. Did it get the nut warm? Yes, after standing and holding it in place so long my shoulders were on fire. More than 10 minutes and not hot enough to make a difference. I literally could heat a nut red hot in 30 seconds with a Bolt Buster! Red hot is what you need. I checked for my own error repositioning the coil ends in their clamps and the coil was a snug fit on the nut. Simply didn't have the power. Now I have to find time the return it. Disappointed! Do not make the mistake I did thinking these are all the same. ... show more
