I had an issue with my first trailcam's SD card slot overheating and causing an issue with the card itself. I emailed their customer service team and they were very responsive and friendly. They worked quickly to help me get the issue resolved. I am very impressed with their customer service. Additionally, this is a great trailcam that has no problem detecting motion during the day or night and takes clear videos and photos. The rechargeable battery and solar capability are also very convenient and will be a money saver over the other cameras that use non-rechargeable batteries that lose power very quickly. The Wi-Fi capability has the potential to be very useful, and I've definitely found it convenient to quickly see if anything was picked up by the camera overnight. But, the whole process is a bit slow, and it’s tough to get in range of the camera, even when it is not too far away in my backyard. Viewing the captured photos over Wi-Fi is great, but watching the captured videos is a futile effort, as it constantly buffers and takes too much time to watch even the shortest video. Overall though I think this is a great camera with a lot of cool options, and their customer service is top notch.

Customer service contacted me and we worked out an appropriate solution for me. Watch for their new camera and app coming out around October. The camera itself is a nice unit that is well built and relatively easy to use. The motion detection on high sensitivity does not activate for birds or squirrels. Takes a larger size like hawk or cat to activate. Night vision is pretty good. No reviews of app functionality were in the product information and they should be. App really is bad. Pay attention as I got a vendor email to use a different app rather than the one in the instructions. It is a pain to get in to the camera as you have to activate Bluetooth, choose the camera, then activate the wifi, choose a different camera name, activate the wifi, wait for it to say it did not find it (it shows it did) tell it to connect everytime without wifi because it will not remember, shrink the screen, go back to app and wait for it to connect. You have to do this every time you connect. Once in the camera the app has pretty basic functions to change settings, photo or movie and get your pictures (once you figure out to hit the app picture. No functions to enlarge the picture but it is easy to download to your phone. Remember to turn off your Bluetooth and reconnect to your regular wifi when you exit the camera.

I have been very pleased with this camera. Two important tips: I must be very close to you target...unless you target is very big! Great shots of deer at a distance, needs to be close to get great video of racoons and opossums at night. The solar power keeps the batteries at full strength, even in very cold weather (I live in Minnesota!). Do not rely on the app for this camera or any other trail camera. The Apps are trash. If you get in the practice of bringing in your memory card or connecting the camera directly to your PC you will be very pleased. The video quality is very good ....for a trail camera. You will be amazed at what wonders around your backyard at night!!! TIP: But out some dog/cat food and place the camera about 3 yards from the food. Put it on video and within a few days...( Set it for on at night only).

I like the build quality and the simplicity. The boot up sound sounds like a dashcam I used to own back in the day. One thing I noticed is the record trigger is a bit delayed.

Updating my review to add that customer service contacted me after I posted my review and helped with my purchase. Altho I still cannot get the app and the camera to connect consistently outside my home, they made things right and were very communicative and kind. I appreciate that, so I have increased the rating from 2 stars to 3. If the app connected properly and easily to the camera, and there were more clear, more detailed instructions for iPhones, I think this camera would be worth the price. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ For $130 I expected much better. The camera system setup is NOT intuitive. The instruction book doesn't help much either. There is no troubleshooting offered at all. I watched four videos on setting up the camera and noticed all four people had non-Apple phones. Maybe that's part of the problem. I have a new iPhone 14 Pro Max. I downloaded the app, tapped the "Turn on Bluetooth" button and it searched for 10 seconds and couldn't find the camera I was standing directly next to. I deleted the app, reinstalled, tried again. No luck three times over. It says you can connect it in either setup mode or on mode. I tried both with no luck on either. I found the settings for the Wifi but it looks like you can only change the name. I can't even get past turning on the Bluetooth part. If you have the kind of time it takes to remove the camera from whatever it's strapped to every time you want to see videos or photos, then maybe you won't care about the app not working. Getting the SD card out requires tweezers because the slot for the card is so close to the edge of the waterproof case that you can't grab it with your fingers alone. The videos are decent quality. We had some trouble getting the battery to last, but I think it was because it didn't have a full 8-hour charge before we took it out. I wish I had known it would require that long of a charge to start because I would've plugged it in the night before. Finding where to change ANY settings on the camera itself is also difficult. Altho the booklet is pretty thick for this kind of equipment, it's mostly because the instructions are in several languages. The instructions could be much better and more detailed.

I really have been impressed with the clarity of the pictures. Good night pictures. Great daylight pictures. I used it all season and batteries are still 100%. The batteries are only for backup in case of cloudy days or not enough solar energy. FYI The SD card is a micro SD. For the price it's a great value, it performs like a more expensive camera.
