I was pleased to have found this product since I read the specifications on the description. 15,000 lumens? Gotta have it. When I unboxed the item it was beautiful and included a remote control and machine bolts. I wish that wood bolts and/or sheet metal bolts were included since I was planning on securing to a tree. After I installed the item I noticed that the motion sensor only detected objects from far away from the sides, but when I walked directly under the light then it didn’t sense my presence and didn’t even activate. I’m also displeased with the advertised lumens of “15,000”. I have an existing light with a known 2,000 lumens and this light was much dimmer in comparison. I think it’s safe to say that this light is most likely 1,500 lumens and not 15,000. I’m giving this two stars because the light is nice and it has an industrial look. Please don’t waste your time purchasing or ordering and testing it out. Lights with 15,000 lumens should cost more than the price you paid for this.

The LED lights on the light’s head cover an area of 18 ½” X 8 ½ inches. The solar panel is 14” X 6 ¼ inches, which seems like plenty of space to recharge. The mounting post that comes with is angled at the base, so it tilts. It is 18 ½” from one side and 17 ¾” from the other. This light offers a lot of option, to include a remote, which is a plus. And now for the grand claim of this item being a “streetlamp” that throws out 15,000 lumens of light. That is untrue on both counts. It is not as bright as what you would expect for something that is called a streetlamp, and it’s definitely not 15,000 lumens. I’m so hoping that is a typo. I have a 6,000 lumen (85 watt) work light that I purchased from a discount hardware retailer for $34.99. In my estimation, this work light puts out twice the light as the streetlamp, which is said to be 15,000 lumen (300 watt). So, just from eyeballing it, I would say this streetlamp is actually about 3,000 lumens. But don’t take my word for it; see for yourself. The included pictures do not do it justice; however, it is still plain to see a difference. The first picture is of the 6,000-lumen work light, which was placed on the left. On the right was the “15,000 lumen” streetlamp, after I had set it out in the sun all day to charge. Both were turned on at separate times, but it is obvious to tell that the 6,000-lumen work light is brighter. Regardless, a few things this streetlamp does that a work light cannot is it can be placed outdoors, it is solar powered, and it has a remote control, which are great value-added features. Those three things are worth quite a bit. If you are wanting a lot of bright light or if you want to light up a large area, this is not what you are looking for. If you want to light up a relatively small area (say the parking pad in front of a one-car garage, and it doesn’t have to be incredibly bright, this light will work fine. I’m giving it a generous four stars because, though it has some great features, it is marketed as a streetlamp with the illumination of 15,000 lumens. It is definitely not suitable for a streetlamp, and I highly doubt that its output is anywhere close to 15,000 lumens.

This is a nice solar light that can be mounted to a pole, tree, or house, etc. Which is a nice option if you don't have a pole. We mounted it on a storage building near the side yard, where the dogs go out at night. It's just the right brightness for that. Not too bright for our very close neighbors on that side but works well enough for the dogs. However the motion detection works most, but not all the time. Decent lamp though.

This solar power street light as they call it by Oulac, is a very helpful self-contained light, power, and battery all in one. The quality is on the lower side and the light isn’t too bright, but its clutch in certain situations. Here are some of the things I’ve learned while owning it and things to consider before buying. I. Quality – It definitely feels cheap to me, but so does the cost. However, it does look good enough that it might very well survive the elements, but I won’t be too surprised if it doesn’t. I would put it in the lower-middle section of the quality scale. II. Usability – It’s very easy to install with the included pole and bolts. The light produced is disappointing compared to the claims, but its sufficient if you’re looking to light up a smaller area with enough light to see of draw attention. The solar panel charges the battery enough for decent performance as a motion detection light, but its insufficient as a multiple hour basketball playing light. Overall, this is a very low cost way to have some light where there is no power. It has provided me a very easy way to install a decent light that will rain down enough brightness to get noticed, if motion is present. Despite the lower quality and light production, it’s still provided what I was looking for. I’ll be sure to update this review, if I ever start to have problems with it. You can trust that this review is simply my honest opinion that is attempting to provide you with helpful insight that I wish I had before I picked this product. Hopefully it was helpful in your decision.

I picked this up so the kids could play games in the yard when it was dark. Dummy me thought it came on a pole. It only comes with the short mounting pole. I have no where to mount it for that purpose, so I set it out in the sun to charge and lean it up against a box to provide light. It is bright enough and does the job. At some point, I may mount it to the garage to provide better light out there and get something different for the yard.
