Simple to charge, and convenient for storage with the way the lights retract into the unit. The various light modes is another nice feature! The only disappointment was that it is not made to run both the center spotlight and the string lights at the same time. My college age son loves these lights. He uses them when camping or just hanging out outdoors with friends. They are very compact and easy to store.

We bought this light for camping and after some initial disappointment have been pleased. You charge the light easily using either the provided cord or your own phone charger. Ours showed as being fully charged, but when we left for our camping trip the battery ran out within 15 minutes. Hugely disappointed kids, but shame on us for not testing ahead of time. When we tested it again at home we've been able to have it hold a charge and remain lit for 3-4 hours, depending on the light setting. The ease of unspooling/re-spooling is terrific, I wish our Christmas lights were designed as well. The only reason I'm not doing the 5th star is because I wish the battery lasted a bit longer. I'd hoped to be able to use these lights so my kids could identify our tent area in dusk/early part of the night and it gives out a bit too soon. ... show more

I'd had this product for about 2 years now. I have to say it has exceeded my expectations. It's worth the money. It's gone with me to Belize for two years now and camping all over the southwest.
