I bought 2 of these lights, mounting them under an overhang to protect them from weather, even though they are supposed to be weatherproof. Although no direct sunlight falls on the solar panels, they are sensitive enough to indirect sunlight to recharge. Each of the panels can be aimed independently, a welcome plus. The mounting bracket makes mounting anywhere a cinch. Only one small drawback: the lights are brighter than expected by my handyman; however, I would prefer to have them even brighter. I was skeptical because the lights were so small, but we went ahead and installed them outside our chicken coop area and went back at night to see how they worked. I was pleasantly surprised to see how far out the sensor worked and how bright the lights were. It lit up a big area. I love these lights and the price was very good. The only downside we saw was that the lights and collection panel are all one piece but do move some. You have to make sure to hang them with the solar collector in the right position so ours was at a sight angle but they didn't affect how the lights worked. They come with a good warranty as well so no complaints here so all in all they are a good value for price. ... show more

These lights worked great until Mr. Squirrel discovered the exposed wiring from the battery to one of the the side lights. As usually happens, our fuzzy friend chewed the power wire off at the entrance to the housing so it's not worth trying to fix. I'm going back to the TBI PRO security lights that run the wiring thru the swivel connectors where Mr. Squirrel can't get to them. If you don't have fuzzy critters chewing on wires, these lights work great in areas where you have direct sun and don't want to run power to the lights. ... show more

Easy to set up and install. Lights are very bright. They are smaller than I thought, so I wouldn’t consider them a flood light. Instructions are clear on how to activate the different modes. I estimate the motion sensor distance to be about 15-20 ft. Great for lighting up pathways. I’ve actually been keeping them charged outside during the day and using them at night as a portable flash light. Probably really useful camping or whatever outdoor activity. So up to you if you want to mount them. They are small and light enough to be carried around. One thing to note that confused me at first is that they don’t “work” during day time. So if you try charging it and don’t see the lights come on, either wait until night or take it in a dark room. Makes sense and saves battery when you don’t need the light. ... show more
