This light was a bit more fragile than I expected as it is made of plastic materials. It’s very lightweight . Other than that, it puts out a pretty warm glow and has done well in the weather . We have it by our front door on the outside with no porch cover so it takes direct sun and rain.

    • No battery compartment as stated in the instructions. Died after 9 months. Waste of money!

Sounded good. Light weight. Seemed to be sturdy enough. After getting dimmer over the 9 months it worked and then failed-died, I took every screw out of it looking for the "battery compartment as per the instructions that came with it. No battey compartment at all! Was hoping to replace the failed "rechargeable batteries" as stated in the provided instructions. Imposible. I'll say it again, every screw was taken out of it's top solar section, bottom that has the switch and the complete candle section was removed looking for compartment. There was not one! I really love this solar lantern. My shepherds hook was just so bare after the summer plant came off. In looking through all the solar lanterns i had to look for the one that was the tallest. Some looked good but in reading the descriptions they were small. I bought the copper lantern I’m very pleased with it. Was delivered in the evening just as it was getting dark. Took it out of the box and hung it. I was surprised that it was totally charged. The 3 different size candles flickered and it really looked like it was an expensive light. Of course come morning you can tell it’s from Amazon but it still looks good. Not sure how long the light stays on but I know one night it was 1 am and it still was working. If it lasts at least that long I’m happy. I only want a light during the hours when I could enjoy the glow. Not real bright but only have it for looks. I also like the bright copper. We purchased 12 of these to go around our little pool area. Each lantern has 3 solar candles that put off a nice warm glow. This is our backyard oasis. We don’t have to go anywhere else. The S hooks are hidden under an inside box flap!!!
