I am very pleased with these solar-powered flood lights and since they are indeed "solar powered," I didn't have high hopes for the brightness, much less (if they were bright at all) the longevity of the light output. To my great pleasure, not only are these things very bright for solar flood lights but they last all night long, even with only an over-cast day of sunlight to charge the panel up before night falls. I use the "Mode 3" option, which is when it runs at "dim" brightness (plenty bright for keeping an eye on the area from afar (I have these on my shop, about 120' from the back of my home, so I can look outward towards the shop from my bedroom window) and then they turn to full brightness when motion is detected. In this setting, they work incredibly well for my preferences/purposes. I did try one night with the full-power (from dusk to dawn) mode and although this is not my preferred setting, this is the Mode that impressed me most, as even by early morning (I'm up at 3:00am each morning, as I live on a homestead and have numerous early-morning responsibilities), I was able to watch them still running at full brightness until around 5:30am, when the sun rose high enough to make them turn off. Very impressive. I like the 3-way adjustable beam heads, which once set, hold well in place without fear of wind or harsh rain causing them to shift around. The quality of the enclosure, although it appears to be plastic of some sort, is actually quite solidly made. Have a lot of trees and shrubs that block light from security lights installed on our house from reaching some areas of our yard. This pair of Zalap solar flood lights has helped address that issue. They are easy to install - both of mine are installed on fences - and because the solar panels can be mounted on the lights themselves or separately, was easy to orient the panels for optimum exposure to sunlight during the day. There are three setting options - I'm using the first that turns on the lights at brightest setting when motion is detected because the other two options didn't really meet my needs. The remote control is handier than fumbling around the back of the light units for the control button should you need to change a setting... but the remote control has to be in fairly close proximity to the lights for it to work. Light from the units is adequate. You're not going to light up an entire back yard with these... but they're very effective at providing a fair amount of light within 20-25 ft of them. The adjustability of the light allows you to direct light as wide or narrow as desired. ... show more

We ordered these lights to add a bit of security to our back yard. We prefer the mode where the dim light is always on and gets bright when motion is detected. One, it lets whoever is out there know that they've been "seen". Two, it lets us know there's motion in the yard. The motion sensor works well and detects motion a fair distance away. An added feature of this style of light is the solar panel is separate. In our situation, where we want to point the light isn't where the sun is optimal. This unit allows you to point the light where you need it, and mount the solar panel in the direction that will get the most sun. Excellent! Overall, if you're looking for some security lights that have multiple lighting modes, bright light, and the flexibility to mount the solar panel where you'd like, you've found the right product. ... show more

I like these solar flood lights! They're a great way to light up my yard without any messy electrical wiring to deal with. They're super bright - 3000 lumens is enough to illuminate a good-sized area. The motion sensors seem to pick up movement from far away, and the lights come on automatically at night in motion sensor mode, which is a great deterrent for anyone unwanted. Plus, they have a dimmer setting for all-night light if I need it. They seem durable and weatherproof so far (been through a few rain storms with no problems). You can mount the solar panel to the light or separate away from the light in a different area for more sun exposure. I love getting a multipack, especially when they care share the remote. This 2 pack of motion detecting solar lights has everything I like about motion lights. I want to use mine to light up my wood-shed that has no power run to it. Pros: The solar panels can be attached to the lights or can be tethered in another location via the 10' cable. 3 individually adjustable light panels can be aimed in almost any way. The sensor is really sensitive. It caught me walking up to the light from almost a 90 degree angle. 3 different modes + off. The remote can be used to control either light. There are different mounting options for the light and solar panel. The front face of the light has bubble that distribute each LED more effectively than straight out. Cons: I really like this light, but one of my lights came with a shattered solar cell. They are packed in the box fairly tight. ... show more

The screws they send with this kit keep breaking off. The hardware is not sharp it does not want to bite into the wood and when it does the heads break off. There's two installation methods One is with the panel attached to the solar light and one is separately so you can mount the solar light elsewhere and have the panel in the Sun. I tried the separate mounting method and it worked fine on the first one and when I got to the second one I wanted to use the method where you attach the panel to the light and I was unable to do so. The panel is too heavy for the light and there is no adjustment to tighten everything up so the panel weighs the light down and it's unable to keep its position. I got extremely frustrated with the set of lights. They sent bad hardware ( screws that are too soft ) and the light can't support its own weight. The light itself works great It has lenses to amplify and spread the LED light. The motion sensing works great as well and they are reasonably cheap. Overall I can't recommend them because of the bad hardware and not supporting its own weight. ... show more
