I got these lights for my shed as it has no electricity. It is so easy to setup, pretty much just plug in and let solar charge and ready to use. I put the solar on the roof and it’s waterproof. Great for the backyard. Easy to install and just right amount of light for the backyard for safety purposes. Length of cable was just enough to hide the solar panels out of sight. This was perfect for our backyard playhouse. Since it has two levels, the two lights were plenty to keep illuminated at night. I put both on low setting, and it stayed on all night. Since it was only the first night, I don't think they were fully charged, as I installed them and the panel was exposed for only a few hours of daylight. I installed these for emergency use. I am very happy with these lights. They are bright, the remote works well, the quality build seems very good. I just hope they last a long time.

    • Good lights for an unpowered shed and sturdy, but not as large as shown
I got these because I had a solar light in my shed that just stopped working one day. I couldn't figure out what went wrong with it. These are nicer because there are two lights, so I can put one inside the shed and one outside or two in the shed at different angles for better illumination. As a test, I put the solar panel out on the first sunny day we had and charged the lights up. They ran for several hours before I turned them off. They seemed pretty bright in the shed. I think one would be fine, but being able to put one to shine in the center and aiming the other at a set of shelves in the corner will probably work out better. The photos of these are a bit misleading as the panel and the lights are made to look quite a bit bigger than they are. There's a single photo partway down the page, labellled "Package Includes" that accurately shows things to scale, with a pair of batteries for the remote in the photo. The solar panel is not as wide as a doorway, or a quarter of the size of a double garage door - it is 13 3/8 inches wide. Likewise, these are not big floodlights, they are just over 5 inches wide. The lights are nicely constructed and seem both sturdy and weatherproof. The frame on the solar panel is thicker than others I've seen. The cabling is significantly thicker and sturdier than that on my previous solar light. The back of the panel has a compartment where you can access the wires for the solar panel. This is really nice because if the wire is damaged it could be replaced. Or the solar panel could be reused for something else if the lights failed. The soldering job on one of the connections wasn't great though. The lights are controlled almost entirely through a remote which uses IR to communicate with a sensor on the front of the light. This means you have to be able to point the remote at the front of the light (or something that can bounce the signal to the front of the light) to turn them on and off and use the other controls. Without the remote, these are pretty useless. There's a waterproof on/off switch on the back of each light. While the size of these isn't really as shown, they're fine for my purpose. ... show more
