I purchased the Skytex Softbox Lighting Kit (2Pack) to improve the quality of my photos and videos, and I’m very impressed with its performance. Solid beginner softbox kit. The pair comes with adjustable stands, and the lights go from bright white to a cozy yellow, plus you can change the brightness. The remote is a cool little bonus for quick tweaks. They're not the fanciest lights, but they work well enough for me.

The media could not be loaded. I bought this lighting to set up a little studio in my basement. When I opened the package, one of the softboxes and light bulb was inoperable. I contacted the company directly with the email provided in the packaging. They got back to me within 24 hours. I explained what happened. They asked for a screenshot of my order to verify purchase. Within 2 days they got back to me and let me know they were sending new soft and light bulb. Assembly was easy. There are tons of videos on YouTube on how to assemble this, but it's also pretty self. Explained Tory period in my opinion. They do a pretty good job. Lighting up my dark basement, which just has dim overhead light. They do come with a carrying case which makes them very portable. They're very light weight and compact, so it's easy for me to take them out and about if necessary. I have tried other affordable lighting options in the past. And they never worked as well or were as bright. These are a pretty good value for the money. I know I'm not professional photographer or videographer, but to me, they check all my boxes. I highly recommend. I will update in 6 months is anything should change. TLDR: Great lights. Great bargain. Great customer service. 👌🏽

At first these lights seemed to good to be true. Very powerful lighting, ease of use with remote made them enjoyable, no flickering in video, it seemed perfect. After some time using things became apparent as to why it’s so cheap. 1. The stands are very cheap and not sturdy. Knocking these over is not a challenge and can fall if you adjust the angle too low. Make sure to anchor them with weighted bags if you extend them fully. 2. The plastic knobs are cheap. They’re not glued onto the screw and are a somewhat soft plastic. If you over tighten screws by a little bit you may crack the knob. The screw will still tighten but the knobs become useless. 3. The bag is VERY cheaply made. I don’t use these rough and somehow all the seems became loose within two weeks. The straps came off at one month. 4. The lightbulb covers will fall off if you’re not careful. Just pop it back on. 5. They have a short power cord if you’re using them fully extended. Make sure to have some power cord extensions even if you’re in a small room. That’s pretty much it. These are great if you don’t break them down every day. If you plan to leave them up and not touch them again - GET THEM. It’s an amazing deal if you want a permanent studio. If you plan to be portable with these - DON’T. They will wear down quickly, especially the carry case and the sturdiness of the tripods just isn’t there. In a pinch they’ll do, but there’s definitely better for not much more in price if you plan on more serious or long term use.
