I bought this set for self-tape video auditions in January and now in November it is still going strong after several self-tape auditions each week. I found it pretty easy to set up and the pieces are light and easy to rearrange. The remotes help me to adjust each light as I am looking into the camera. The only thing I don't like is that each time I turn them off it resets to the default setting, but even with that it is just a few clicks of each button to get them where I want them. I like the 3 modes plus dimming and brightness to get the lights exactly right no matter the time of day. They can go super bright too! This lighting kit is easy to set up and easy to take down. The light bulbs are encased in a plastic casing for safety, the stands are heavy duty but light, and there are two remotes included with this purchase that allow you to dim or change the lighting settings easily.

Carry bag is too small, need covers to keep from breaking lights. Nice to have color controls dimming and softboxes. It is a bit flimsy, but for $60 a Black Friday it was worth it.

At this price point I was suprised at the versatility these 27"x27" lights provide. The ability to adjust both color and brightness independently really helped balance light in non-studio conditions. Bulb lumen output is decent. Softbox doesn't diffuse complete, but at least adequately. Stands are a bit flimsy (particularly the plastic locking mechanism for the softbox), but again adequate. Carrying bag doesn't have a good place to safely store bulbs, so I transport these separately. Remotes are easy to figure out, but (as others have said) don't retain settings. I got this kit when it was $80 but it is on sale right now for $50, this is an amazing deal. The kit includes 2 soft boxes, 2 bulbs, 2 remotes and the stands you need. They are quite large, normal compared to other kits, but wont be able to fit in a small space. The stands can get really tall and is sturdy. The bulbs have 4 light settings that change from warm to light white. They also get extremely bright, but can be dimmed with the provided remotes.
