Since I bought my Lexus RX 350 F-Sport, I had wanted to install a roof rack, but everywhere I looked I was told it wouldn’t work because my Lexus has a moon roof. I got excited when I found this listing and read the reviews, but I was still hesitant because none of the reviews showed photos with the moon roof open. So I decided to leave a review! This roof rack works 100% with the moon roof. I was able to install it very easily by following the included instructions and had no issues. I also followed advice I found on another listing that recommended not installing the front crossbar more than 11 inches from the front of the side rail to ensure it doesn’t interfere with the moon roof operation. Before installing the rack, I opened the moon roof and made sure there would be enough clearance. During installation, before fully securing everything, I carefully tested the moon roof again to confirm it would operate properly. As long as you install everything correctly and verify the clearance, it works without any issues. One other thing I noticed while reading reviews: some people mentioned needing a clamp to install the rack or having trouble locking it afterward. That was not my experience. During my installation, I found that if the crossbar is tightened too early or the mounting clamp isn’t loosened enough before positioning it, installation becomes much more difficult. Likewise, the lock may not engage properly if the clamp isn’t fully tightened after installation. Following the instructions carefully and taking the time to adjust everything before final tightening made the process straightforward for me. The roof rack seems very well made and sturdy, and I am very happy with my purchase. If you are looking for a roof rack that will work with a Lexus RX 350 F-Sport with a panoramic moon roof and will allow you to open the moon roof, this one fits the bill. I hope this helps!

I very much appreciated the tip to support the Clamps and cross bar assembly with one hand while bolting each of the 4 assemblies onto the siderails of the car. If you don't hold them up as high as they will go before pulling off the siderail, they will sit too low on the siderail and make it difficult to clip the covers on. I also didn't do the final tightening of the bolts until i made sure the covers fit and I only bolted the clamps on while supporting the rail and clamping mechanism with my other hand. I never had a problem putting the cover caps on the clamping mechanism because I also test fitted each of them before doing the final screwing in of the bolts. If the locks don't turn. It is because the end of the lock does not protrude enough into the rectangular hole in the clamp mechanism. Three locks turned easily and the 4th one had to have the two bolts holding the metal piece with the rectangular hole, loosened and pulled outward slightly so the bolt would extend into the hole enough to allow the knob at the end of the lock to clear the edge of the hole. If you don't lock each Clamp, the cover can fly off in the wind. the lock is the only thing holding the cover onto the rail. One last hint, tighten the screws that secure the side clamps to the bottom of the cross rails as much as you can, but still allowing the rail to move with a little resistance. Final tightening of the screws holding the crossbars secure are difficult because they are now upside down, you can't see the hole in which the wrench is inserted, and need to find the screw hole in which to insert the wrench when it is difficult to see. Better to only need to do a few turns with the screw rather than many at an awkward angle.

Holds both of the bikes well with Yakima Frontloaders. They seem flimsy but are surprisingly sturdy. That being said, they do flex which will make you nervous. My assumption is they are curved for more structural rigidity to not concave but that does put your bikes at a strange angle on there which is the only reason I gave it 4 stars. Kind of keeps you perpetually nervous but they haven’t let me down yet after several trips with the bikes on top.

I should have read other reviews. Easy to set up looked great but the locks wouldn’t lock on the roof. Other people had the same issue. Even the dealer said there nothing they could do so had to ship it back. Not sure why the company keeps sending defective racks.

These are good. Just make sure to put some upward pressure as you finish tightening the clamps or the covers won't lock on. Bought for a 1,600 mile road trip in our '24 X5 with a Yakima Carbonite 16 Box. Worked fine. Looked good. Maybe a little more arched than I would prefer but good overall. Did not mar/mark black sport rails. (helpful hint: The BMW sport rails have little rubber bumps on the inside track to locate the recommended mount locations. just run your finger down in on the inside. Small but you'll feel them. I spaced the rear back some to get closer to the max on the yakima box for stability.). If leaving on permanently/daily, I'd probably go OEM but for our occasional use happy with these.

Quality is not bad for the price. Install was relatively easy. I followed one of the reviewers’ tips on pushing/putting more pressure on the key hole rather than the plastic to lock the cover in place. One thing to note also: I have a 2017 RX350 with panoramic moonroof. Tilt function is not affected. Plenty of gap. However, you can’t fully open the monroof with the racks in place. Just something to consider if you have a panoramic monroof. It really didn’t matter to me since I barely fully open it. As long as tilt function is good, I’m golden.

Missing part. One of the covers didn’t have a lock. And snailfly’s support website has bad contact info. Hopefully they check here. UPDATE 2/26/26: Snailfly reached out via Amazon chat and quickly worked to resolve the issue. They are sending a replacement part. Excellent customer service. The product is good so far. Taking a long trip next week and will see how it holds up.
