The basic specification for a roof rack these days is "carries 165 pounds and has no locks." This one carries 220 pounds and doesn't have locks, so it is one step above basic, but the price is no more than that of the most basic products. Thus, this is a bargain. If you want locks, you must look elsewhere, but if you can heft more than 220 pounds onto the top of a car, you're a better man than me, so this should meet most people's requirements. One thing which could have been added inexpensively which these bars miss, is to add loops at each end of the bars to help rope things down. But at this price, I think I can let that go and give this quiet, strong, easy to fit product the full five stars.

Looks great. Easy install. BUT ABOVE 35 mph sounds like the Wizard of Oz tornado. MAJOR WIND NOISE. Debating on returning them. UPDATE ,,so I found a solution. I took some bungee cords wrapped them around each separate rod. It broke up the wind noise ,,took away from the look, but it’s a happy medium. So I’ll keep them.

This is a set of two high quality cargo roof rack crossbars for a custom fit to 2024-2026 Chevy Chevrolet Trax models with side rails (LT / 2RS / ACTIV). The bars are easy to install with included hardware. The aluminum crossbars have a 220 LB weight limit. The bars are shaped to yield minimum wind noise. The bars can be removed when not needed. The bars can be used for safely carrying cargo, bikes or kayaks (with appropriate mounts, not included). The installed bars will not damage the vehicle's paint job when carefully and correctly installed. The included instructions are clear and easy to follow. Would recommend these to anyone.

These Snailfly roof rack cross bars fit my 2025 Chevy Trax with side rails just fine. They went on easy with no drilling, just some clamps and bolts, took maybe 20 minutes. They hold 220 lbs so kayaks or bikes should be no problem. The black aluminum looks decent on the car too. But man, above 35 mph there's a ton of wind noise, like a loud whistle the whole drive. I tried tightening everything but it didn't help much. They're weatherproof and sturdy enough, no rust or wobble so far. If you don't mind the noise or drive slow, they're alright for the price. Kinda disappointing on the quiet part though.
