I need to start by saying I have a 27lb dog who is a professional at dismantling and destroying soft toys. They typically only last a day or two before they’re in shreds and need to go into the trash. I don’t buy them for her often, because it gets expensive, but sometimes it’s the best way of getting her energy out. I ordered the duck with pretty low expectations that it would last more than a few hours. Enter this toy. She did manage to get a small hole in it within the first 10 minutes and started to rip out the stuffing (to be clear, she doesn’t eat it, she just rips soft toys completely apart). It took her a few hours to finally get the squeaker out of the body, which was pretty impressive when others have taken her mere minutes. We are now THREE days later and her fun still hasn’t stopped! She’s continued to pull more stuffing out from other areas of the toy, and play with it, but it’s still mostly together. The crinkle/neck part is completely intact, allowing us to play tug of war, and she’s as happy as can be. A lot of soft toys say they’re for aggressive chewers, and I buy them knowing they may last a day or two. The fact that this one has lasted three days and I really think it will last at least 2-3 more, I’m thrilled. So much that I bought another one of the duck and also ordered the alligator. The other benefit is that I’m only finding some of the stuffing that’s easy to pick up, not a bunch of small strings around. Also, now that the squeaker is gone, this has turned into a quiet toy, which is even better!

3 aggressive chewers months old still in one piece and they like it

My dog is an aggressive chewer. She took the stuffing out but the toy is still intact and she loves carrying it around. It's lasting a lot longer than any of the other soft toys I have bought I will definitely buy another one in the future.

1. Not really for tough chewers. My dog has already chewed 1/3 of the toy and only had it for 1/2 day. 2. No sound the part to make sound is in the toy but no sound. 3. Will never buy again or recommend.

So my two medium sized dogs love this toy - they immediately snatched it up and ran off with it when I got it out of the package. It's one of their favorites and when they're not fighting over it, they're carrying it around and chewing on it. I would say though that it's definitely not chew proof - sturdy but not chew proof. My youngest dog is 16 months old and he fairly easily ripped a hole in the corner of this. Still a great toy and my dogs love it!

When the toy arrived, it was really cute. We played tug of war once and he carried it around for about 10 minutes. However, once we decided it was time, he moved in for the kill. In less than 10 minutes it was a crime scene. I am not angry, I would have been shocked if it did survive a day or two. I have yet to find a toy like this that can last longer than 45 mins.

I am so glad I found this dog toy! This duck is my dog’s absolute favorite. It crinkles (his favorite!) and is perfect for playing Tug with him. I love that there is a “human side” and a “dog side,” but my dog plays with the entire toy by himself too! This toy is VERY durable for playing Tug. Not once have I heard it even start to rip. I can’t speak to the durability of the plush toy part (my dog doesn’t really rip into the plush part of the toy). As always, make sure to play Tug correctly with your dog as not to injure or wear down their spine. Awesome toy that is SO fun for both me and my dog!
