  • Good fit for 2019 Ford Edge
Fit a 2019 Ford Edge. Easy to install and take off. Some wind noise but I take them off between use so not an issue for me.

  • Love the look plus easy to install!
I wanted some cross bars but didn’t want to pay for very expensive ones. These look good, they are functional, and easy to install. My only complaint is that they create a lot of wind noise.

  • Fits 2017 Ford Edge
Ford failed big time with the flush mount roof rails on this series of the Edge. This is the 3rd set of cross bars we have bought for our 2017 Edge, and finally a set that actually fits without making the wife unit feel like we will unexpectedly part ways from our rooftop shed around the next corner. We use them to mount a yakima rocket box and have no reservations about driving cross country at 80 mph with this setup. Are they as good as the thule/yakima, no, are they 1/5th the price, yes. The Good: - They fit, they are secure, they are aero-style bars, they relatively quiet, they are easy to install, they are way cheaper than the big name bars The Bad: - They are a little tall, the rubber seal piece on the inside of the clamp/bar transition does not fit great, the allen-keys they give you are a bit cheap so be careful not to strip a bolt head Recommended Purchase: YES ... show more

  • Don’t bother buying these cross bars
These were purchased for a 2020 Ford Edge. If you are considering these, keep looking and Do Not Purchase this product. First of all, as soon as I opened the box, it was obvious that the cross bars were previously used. They were also extremely difficult to install and didn’t fit correctly. Once installed they made the most awful humming/rattling noise when the vehicle traveled 35-50 mph. For whatever reason, low speeds and freeway driving did not trigger the dreaded hum. We finally took the bars off after a month and won’t be putting them back on the car. ... show more

  • Too much noise
Product is built well, but I've tried everything and it vibrates and it makes so much noise. I hoped I would be able to leave them on all the time, but it vibrates to much.

  • Great for the Money
Really easy yo install. The end caps show the direction of the install to the front, the rails can slide apart since the front rails are wider apart, and the rails seems solid. I would recommend some thread lock just incase.

  • Giant woodwind instrument.
Looks good. Fairly easy to install. HOWEVER, at about 30-40 miles per hour the front crossbar starts vibrating and resonates through the whole car like a giant bassoon. It took me days to realize it was the rack. Tightened, loosened. Removed. Reinstalled. Never a change. Shaped like a wing, moans like a monk. ... show more

  • Great Carrier for the money
I really found the installation to be easy. Instructions and tools are included. I mounted the crossbars on my 2018 Ford Edge SEL. I found in looking down the length of the crossbars, one length end was slightly thicker than the other. As I understand the dynamics of air flow, I mounted the thicker end forward on both crossbars. I assume this will cut down on wind resistance and noise. Follow the easy directions to mount your crossbars. For those of you who might be a bit of perfectionist like me, I installed the back crossbar first. I measured the distance between the back crossbar and the back lift gate on both ends before tightening down to ensure distance was the same and the crossbar was relatively straight. The distance from the back crossbar to the top of the lift gate is a matter of personal preference. Mounting the forward crossbar I measured the distance from the back crossbar clamp to the forward crossbar clamp. Again the distance between the two is a personal preference. After rechecking tightness of all the securing screws I replaced the rubber strip on each end of the crossbar. This was a little tricky at first but just put one end in first then push the other end length wise toward the middle and it should pop in. Place all the locking caps on the end of the crossbars and lock in place. The plastic locking plates are rather cheaply made and do not fit well onto the ends of the crossbars and you may find it difficult to lock them. For this, I suggest switching the caps around on the crossbars to find a more better fit and to make locking and unlocking a little easier. Also after you lock the caps there may be a bit of play in them. Pull them down toward the permanent rail of the vehicle. This will tighten them up ensuring a better fit. All in all I would recommend this carrier for the more budget minded. I gave this product a 4 star rating because I did not like the cheap plastic locking end caps. They offer minimal security. Also, I wish the carrier was a bit more low profile. Aesthetically I give it three stars. I did take it out for a test drive. I reached speeds of 75 mph and found wind noise to be minimal and it was a very windy day. I just couldn't bring myself to spend 3 to 6 hundred dollars for some of the name brand carriers. ... show more
