    • Poor instructions and difficult installation - one bolt froze up, so we returned this product
The instructions are both incomplete and incorrect. They refer to marks on the cross bars that do not exist, but fail to mention substitute rubber pads that are included and are necessary for installation. Even some of the drawings in the instructions are incomprehensible. The design of the product, which requires tightening bolts upside down, essentially blind, and in a three inch space between the car roof and the bottom of the crossbar, is poor. It can be done, but you must be very patient and persistent. We had to return this product because one of the four major bolts that clamp the crossbars onto the roof rails was defective. It froze up, possibly "cross threaded," but we couldn't tell why. It would not advance far enough to tightly clamp the crossbar onto the roof rail. You may choose to buy this product because of its low price, but beware the difficulties of installation. ... show more
