    • Easy to Install and Looks Great!
Works great and easy to install. I installed this by myself, it took about an hour total. About 30 minutes for the first roof rail, then 15 minutes for the second, about 15 minutes to install the crossbars. I watched the short video a couple uploaded to this product for install, which was helpful. Using a ratcheting screwdriver instead of provided "tools" will make the process go quicker. I also put some loctite on the threads. Many people (and the instructions) say that it requires a Dremel or a saw to cut the old trim, I was able to just use some straight cut aviation snips I had in my tool bag. The cut gets covered by the rails. Much quicker and easier than pulling out anything that needed a cord. If you can put together IKEA furniture, then you can put this together! As other noted too, I really liked the black rails rather than OEM silver rails and the price was better too! It appears that it will hold up well. This will be helpful for multiple needs, including kayaks and/or roof cargo box. ... show more

    • Challenging assembly
Assembly by a very experienced and handy mechanic took almost two hours. He said it wasn’t easy so maybe not something to DIY. Haven’t used it to haul anything yet but it looks good on the car.

Directions were fair, but the final plastic caps on the inside of the clamps didn’t say to snap them on before anchoring the clamps!

    • Looks good but instructions are useless and fit isn't perfect
If I were to do this again, I would go with a factory/OEM rack. This one had instructions that were on step above completely useless, maybe half a step. Do yourself a favor and make sure to watch some YouTube videos on the install. Also, if you don't want to screw the rest of your roof moulding up, buy a Dremel circular saw. I gave it three stars instead of two because I actually think the black looks better than the factory chrome. It fits ok but not great, and time will tell if water becomes and issue where the gaps are. ... show more
