  • Looks great, fits well, Easy to install
I put these on my Jeep Grand cherokee, they look fantastic, very streamlined and fit perfectly. If you have the finned antenna on the back roof these racks are about an inch or 2 lower than the antenna, so you wouldn't be able to fit a flat sheet of wood along the top of your truck without it hitting the antenna. They are relatively easy to install if you some mechanical ability, I took one side of the bracket all the way out and only loosend the other side enough to put in the grooves. The rubber feet I think were the hardest to put on but still not bad. Probably took about 40 minutes to install it all. I haven't put anything on them yet but they seem to be good quality and very sturdy. ... show more

  • Quality product, instructions need improvement Quality product, instructions need improvement
Bars are solid. Did a great job transporting a 13 foot tandem kayak. Bars were easy to install but the instructions missed putting the gaskets on, dont forgect those. I did not have any issue stripping screws. Easy trick, turn the screw left til it clicks into place then tighten. There is a audible wind noise but its not terrible or annoying. If you have the radio on, youll never hear it ... show more

  • Great option, especially if you don't plan on using them too often. Great option, especially if you don't plan on using them too often.
Giving it 4 stars because instructions weren't included and the threads on the screws/bolts are rather soft and can cross-thread easily. Overall though, this is a 15-30min job and can be done with one person. All required tools are included though it would've been better to have a hey head rather than the rounded head with a torx bit. Either way, they look great, just like OEM. They are low enough and have a rounded profile making them aerodynamic and they don't create and road noise. Certainly worth the price. I have yet to throw a basket or rack on the bars but as soon as I do, I'll update this review. ... show more

  • Nice Rack, Bad Clamp
Each cross bar is in three pieces, two brackets that go in each rail on the top of the car and the bar itself., To install you have to remove two security torx screws from each end of the rack, but the bracket in the rail on the top of the car and screw the cross piece back on, lifting the bracket and clamping the cross bar in place. To secure the screw a nut is welded behind a hole in the bracket. Should be easy to install.... nope. Our problem was that the torx screws were over tight from the factor and very difficult to remove requiring two people. Three of the clamps installed relatively easily (difficult to turn, but doable) but the forth would not seat in the threads. After many failed attempts I aborted before damaging the threads and took the bracket to the maintenance manager where I work. He tapped the threads and drilled a countersink the top of the bracket. After that it was a 5 star install. I think the problem is the nuts on the back of the bracket was not perfectly aligned with the holes, causing it to bind both when removing the bracket to install and reinstalling it. The screws screwed easily into the nut from the back side, but not the front. Compounding the problem is the hole in the short end of the l shaped torx wrench for the security pin does not seem quite deep enough to seat the bit all the way into the top of the screw as it does on the longer end making it easy for the wrench to spin out of the torx hole. ... show more

  • Nice looking could pass as OEM
I choose these because of their streamlined looks, low height and I did not want the bar extending pass the rails, I wanted an OEM look. These look great and pretty easy to install except for the screws underneath. Use a mirror or your phone camera to view the location of the screws. Makes it way easier to tighten. Also, I did not use the rubber gaskets. I thought the install looked better without and is more secure without. There is a slight, barely ( you rarely have to listen for it) audible whistle when traveling 40-50 MPH. However, at higher speeds nothing. Don't let this stop you from buying ... show more

  • Good quality
Quick ship, very well packed and high quality. No instructions but easy enough to figure out. Seat rubber protective boot to bottom of each rail clamp. Loosen the two screws at the bottom of each cross bar where it attaches to the rail clamps just enough to adjust the bar width from rail clamp to the rail clamp on the opposite side. Loosen the two screws on top of each rail clamp almost all the way. Seat all rail clamps in rail track and tighten top screws to the track. Then tighten all the bar screws to the rail clamps from underneath. ... show more
