Used this thing for over a year and it works really well. I use it to put smoke into my 10 year old Master built smoker, way easier than the original tray or the pellet tray that I used for a while. Back when I got mine, the complaint was that the little air pump failed, usually due to people just picking up a random charging converter to power it. You must get the correct USB charger for the proper voltage which is 5v, then it works no problem and the variable speed is very helpful and has never failed. Not sure if the manufacturer has changed the voltage so be sure and check what it calls for and get the correct one before running it, don't use one of the newer variable chargers. This unit now is supposed to be a new version so be sure and check. I usually burn Traeger pellets but always dry them out in my toaster oven before loading them, this is key for whatever pellets you use, they all hold moisture and can get sooty. I've used this smoke generator at least a dozen times and haven't even bothered to clean out the bottom of the chamber yet, there is resin in there just not enough to get in the way. I'm sure oven cleaner would clean it but be sure to handle the unit carefully as it has small screws and thin metal but is plenty strong enough to do it's job. Overall it's a good unit, haven't had any problems, makes a lot of smoke but almost no heat, could probably smoke a hundred cocktails in 2 minutes.

It makes a ton of smoke. I’m glad I bought it. I is it on my gas grill and with 1 burner on it keeps a pretty steady 200 temp. I have to check it about every hour or 2 so you can’t leave it like a traditional smoker. And it is a production to clean I had made 3 smoked meals when I cleaned it and it took some effort to get clean. But it works great just know you have to clean it later

I bought this Advanced Smoke Tube thinking it would up my grill game a little. What I didn’t realize is that it would change my entire personality. I went from “guy who occasionally burns burgers” to “certified backyard smoke wizard.” My neighbors can’t even hang laundry anymore because the air now has a permanent hint of mesquite. You’re welcome, Janet. This thing smokes like it’s training for a chimney Olympics. Once lit, it puffed away longer than my grandpa’s old pipe and with less backtalk. It didn’t go out, didn’t sputter, didn’t beg for attention — just quietly turned my meat into smoky poetry. The flavor was so good I considered writing it a thank-you note (but it was too busy making my next batch of ribs taste like divine intervention). The “latest upgrade” must stand for “Smokes More, Quits Never.” The holes are so precise it looks like it was engineered by NASA and blessed by Saint Brisket himself. Cleanup? Easy. Just tap it out, and it’s ready to puff again like a chain-smoking dragon. Honestly, if you love smoke, flavor, and feeling superior to everyone without one of these tubes, grab it. Your taste buds will thank you, your grill will respect you, and your neighbors will start “dropping by” suspiciously close to dinner. Final verdict: 10/10 would smoke again.

First, let me say the product is cool and works as advertised. The problem with it is the cleanup. There is "tar" produced by the burn that creates a residue difficult to clean. It is messy and requires harsh "carbon dissolving" chemicals to perform maintenance. Super messy. Personally, I didn't want to go thru all that and actually threw the entire unit out. I couldn't return it in that condition. But that's just me. It worked well, so I wanted to give it a good review. The unit can be improved if they design a disposable "sleeve" for the inside of the small cylinder, and likewise a disposable end cap for the bottom of the same cylinder. This represents 90% of the cleanup.

Does this thing smoke...? Absolutely. It smokes more than my pellet smoker and is way more efficient at creating smoke than anything I have seen. Why 3 stars though? The thing is a total mess to clean. The directions say to use drain cleaner to get the tar out of the device, but what a mess. It stinks up everything it is around. I think this is probably the same experience you will have with any little smoker like this, but I am debating if the smoke is worth the hassle of cleanup. It is: Easy to assemble Easy to use (make sure you already have a battery source for it, that is not included) Super Smokey Very low temperature for cold smoking Good at creating flavorful smoked Lox Super hard to clean Stinky and makes things around it smell

I am going to change to 5 stars. Great customer service. 1st smoker stopped working after only a few uses. They sent anohter so hopefully this one lasts much longer. It does work great when it works.

Negative star ratings are not possible! At first I had great success with the product. No problems with lighting or keeping it lit. I could say there was maybe even too much smoke, but placing the output pipe closer to the chimney on my smoker helped. But it was mentioned in another review, the small brass colored pipe that acts as a venturi blowing air from the air pump broke off and got lost. Even if it wasn't lost, it wouldn't have been able to be reatached as the fitting was broken off. No abuse or heavy handling on my part. The frustrating thing is there is no way to ask for a warranty part or replacement of the whole device. There isn't any contact information for the seller, and no options from Amazon to resolve this hopeless situation. Unless Amazon or the seller reaches out, I would say DO NOT BUY THUS PRODUCT. For me, as of now, my smoke generator is a useless brick and a caution to not be tempted to shop based on price. Please help me if anyone has any information on getting warranty support. I would love to change my review.
