This is a repeat order of a product I already bought. I navigated to it using my previous orders listing in the Amazon app and bought it. The problem is this one doesn't have high definition color night vision like the one I first purchased. It's black and white. Regardless I put it to use. These doorbell cameras work really well around the outside of the house so you can open up the app and take a look around to see what's going on without getting out of bed :). The live feed is color during the day and quite clear and at night it's black and white with night vision. No subscription is required unless you want it to record events and upload the video to the cloud. It does however take a thumbnail snapshot of anyone who rings the doorbell.. . You don't need a subscription to have it do that. I have Wi-Fi seven in the house, pretty new latest technology but it won't connect with the doorbell even 10 feet from the house. It has to be right outside the window or door. Set up is fairly easy once you know what you're doing. Maybe it's just me but it took me a while to figure that out even with what seems fairly clear instructions. The first one that I bought I was almost convinced was defective. But I was doing something wrong. Basically you take the doorbell camera and aim it at a QR code the app shows you on your phone and it connects. Without a subscription, so not recording and uploading video, the battery lasts a couple months. That's with all the notification features off also except having it ring your phone when someone buzzes the doorbell. I put it on sensitive when I first had it and had it notify me when there was motion detected and it drained the batteries down in no time, in a couple days. It's lasted through a Minnesota winter.. rain, sleet and snow. They seem to be built well, not flimsy or cheap feeling. It comes with mounting stickers so you don't have to screw it in the wood. But I use the screw provided and secured the mounting bracket to the door frame. The video doorbell clicks in nicely to it and to remove it you have to use a paper clip at the top where you pushing the paper clip into a little hole in the door bell pops out to bring in for USB charging. Takes a couple hours to charge from low battery. I have one of these on each side of the house and I'm tempted to buy more for inside the house, I don't know why exactly, probably overdoing it but they're so inexpensive and fun to have.

I ordered 2 of these Monday and received them yesterday , the cameras work great and the installation process was smooth and easy. Definitely 10/10. They also come with a doorbell receiver that works great if you have an upstairs home and can’t hear a knock at your front door. One of the many reasons i purchased this. It has live recordings, you can also hear what’s going on around the camera with the microphone. The picture quality is clear. There’s not any static footage and it also lets you take pictures of whatever’s going on around the camera “. I love it!

I am really impressed with the doorbell unit itself, as it has a good quality camera in a well made body. The plug in chime was easy to pair to the doorbell and the whole ensemble works very well. It will pick up movement if someone approaches my front porch, they don't have to come all the up to the door, which is nice because it allows me to see if anyone is near my vehicle as well. In a time when cars parked outside overnight are at risk of break-ins, it is nice that this camera has the ability to see and recognize people that far away - but not as far as the road, where passersby driving or walking do not trigger it to record or notify me. For the price, it's hard to beat. I took a star off because the app is a bit of a letdown. The ads make it difficult to discern what is part of my service and what is an ad. I have not yet bought the cloud storage subscription, which allows you to save and view video taken by the camera. I'm not 100% sure that I need it yet, but if it's a reasonable price, I may try it out. I have also not yet used the talk function, but it seems straightforward enough. Came with the charging cord for the wireless doorbell and the mounting kit. Easy install, took about fifteen minutes to swap the old for the new and get it all synced to the chime and my phone. Battery life seems to be pretty good, looks like it might need to be charged about once a month.

pros of this camera is that’s it uses wifi and is easy to install , the camera quality is surprisingly really good the picture attached is from nighttime , battery will last months if you only have it for ringer cons it does use a subscription , when on motion detection the battery life drains fast overall i think its a good buy still

I was surprised at the quality of this- the picture is clear and setup was easy. I had to search around for the app, but it was not difficult. I’ve never used a Ring cam but I don’t see why people would pay so much more, this is great and gives me peace of mind, even when I’m away.

Great quality for the price! I’ve been using this camera for two days now and so far I’m impressed. The video quality is clear, and the audio is too I can hear everything perfectly. It does move a little slow, but I think that might be due to my WiFi connection. I haven’t purchased the subscription yet to replay footage, so I can’t speak on that part. But for basic monitoring and two-way audio, it works great. The volume is strong and the setup was pretty simple. Definitely worth it for the price!

I’m not sure why this is getting such good reviews. I put in search requesting “no service payment”..if you don’t right off the bat “pay’ for service, you don’t even get to view the video..sure it will see someone,, sure the bell will go off, but if you go to view it on your device it will pop up an ad in front of the video asking for a set up of payments first, and you can’t get around it. Because the doorbell is smaller, the battery is smaller and maybe last 2 weeks..my other one lasted 2+ months before having to be recharged and came with the ability to switch li-on batteries which meant no downtime recharging..so do the video recordings work..I HAVE NO IDEA..I’m not making a monthly payment for a doorbell!!! So, after purchasing it..I’m back to the old doorbell.
