I use this if I have half a cup of coffee left and I have to run out the door. It’s super easy to clean, the color is nice. The compact size makes it easy to carry and it will fit probably all car mug holders. It keeps the beverage relatively hot for an hour…? Hard to tell because I usually drink everything within an hour. I think zojirushi keeps it hotter longer but this mug is so much easier to clean and sometimes you don’t need coffee scaldingly hot for three hours. Cons: it won’t carry a full cup of coffee. It’s slightly too small for my americanos, so if I use my espresso maker, it’s on the stronger, more dense side of an americano or just espresso. The lid spills liquid. Even if closed, be careful! It’s okay if the mug is half full but if it’s filled to the brim it’ll definitely spill if you tilt it.

I love this mug. I have big hands and the handle fits well. The powder coat on the outside is slightly textured so it's not slippy. I drink my coffee slowly in the AM and this keeps it piping hot for a very long time. It's not a travel mug but could be. If you tip it upside down it will leak but it wasn't designed to be that way. The lid fits snug and it has a sliding opening to sip from. Very well made.

Pros: 1)I like the color and the finish of the mug. It feels good on my hand 2) I like the fact that it holds the coffee hot all morning. It claims 12 hours..... NAHHHHHH. Maybe 4 hours. But that's much better than any single wall metal or ceramic mug. The double wall insulation helps a lot. 3) It keeps cold drinks cold for a long time. I have gotten ice cold beverages to last all night with ice in them.... It claims 24 hours.... NAHHHHH. Maybe 8-12 if you keep it covered and don't drink any of it at all. I can attest to 8 hours with ice remaining. Cons: 1) Not dishwasher safe. It doesn't say in the little piece of paper that came with it but the Q&A has several people advising against it due to the plastic color finish. I have not tried it. 2) The 12H hot and 24H cold is a little unrealistic. But, if you are drinking off of it, it is only 24oz. Who drinks 24oz in more than 12 hours??? It is much better than anything else available. 3) The top lid pops off all by itself. When using it for hot beverages, the lid gets pushed up. I don't know if this is due to thermal expansion or what, but it is the first time this has happens to me on a double walled mug. If you push the lid down, it will slowly push itself back up. Maybe it could be a little tighter fit to create a little more friction to hold it in place. I don't know why this happens but it does and it is annoying.

Want to keep a cup of coffee or tea hot for literally hours? Look no further. I pre-heat the Hydro Flask with hot water for a few minutes (lid on), dump it and add my coffee, lid back on. With the lid on and using the open/close spout, it stays hot half the day. Ergonomics are nice. It sits very flat so no concerns that bumping it will topple it over. And even if it did flip, the lid fits snug so I doubt any spill will happen. The downside is that, like any coffee cup, its shape isn't car cup holder friendly. For the car just pick up one of their taller flasks designed for cup holders. I have other Hydro Flask products and, after years of use, they still perform like new. I would buy this again and can recommend it to anyone that's tired of throwing out or reheating their hot beverage.

The media could not be loaded. This is a review of Hydro Flask Stainless Steel Reusable Mug - Vacuum Insulated, BPA-Free, Non-Toxic I really love this 12 ounce Hydro flask insulated mug. The coating of the outside of the mug is kind of soft feeling and when you put it on a hard surface it doesn't clink like something that would just be plain metal. I also like the way that the spout opens and closes on the top. Although the spout cover is not leak proof, that doesn't bother me because this is a coffee mug, and I don't normally place a coffee mug on its side. I also like the rounded handle which is very comfortable to put my fingers through and whether you put two or three fingers through it then you can use your little finger or second finger to sort of go underneath it and support the mug. My only minor issue is that they recommend that you hand wash this and I think that's probably to protect the finish on the mug. I really like the look of the mug and I don't want to risk it so I will hand wash this, and that's not that big of a deal. My Ninja coffee make brews coffee at 177°. I've measured the temperature using a digital thermometer and an hour later the mug still keeps my coffee about 150 to 155°. An hour after that it's still warm enough to be comfortable drinking but not what I would call tepid. So this basically keeps my coffee hot for two hours which is awesome. I like the different colors that this is available in. I think it's a solid purchase.
