This is a decent salt cell. You usually get what you pay for in this area of pool equipment so keep your expectations in check. Its value priced and reflects that in quality. Its a little over rated for pool gallons so to get the rated output youd need to run the cell 100% of the time 24hr a day and noone does that so make sure to double the size for your pool. It works but its also odd to me that it lists indoor only for pool equipment. Keep it covered to protect it. ... show more

I used the Rinoson salt system to replace a very old nonfunctioning salt chlorinator. Fortunately, the pipe spacing was close enough to make the installation plug and play. Our equipment is under cover so there's no issue with rain getting on the controller - that may be a drawback for other user situations. So far (about 1/2 season) it's been working well when I test chlorine independently. It has some control over chlorine level, and of course it's possible to adjust chlorination by changing pump run time too. ... show more

You have to look closely to the item description to realize that this unit is for INDOOR USE ONLY. Otherwise, this is a great unit to convert pool salt to Chlorine. It has multiple user setting to ensure correct salt to chlorine conversion during pool pump use. There is a 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, or 100% chlorine making settings. Additionally, there is a low salt waring and a setting for reverse polarity function to help clean the calciul from the conversion metal plates which means extended life and efficiency in salt to chlorine conversion. This unit is good for up to 18k gallon pools which fits my pool specs. There is also a great warranty of 5 years and a useful and user friendly app to help monitor pool conditions. This is a nice unit to consider but its greatest downfall is that it is not made more outdoor use. ... show more

It has one touch control to choose half or full chlorine output. It has a low salt alarm and safeguards the battery by monitoring current and voltage.
