I prefer using the Smart Life App as all of the existing WiFi plugs and switches I’ve set up over the past 5 years are already configured and work well in it. I recently bought some other plugs from Amazon that I later found out only work with a specific app, not Smart Life. I was pleasantly surprised when I plugged one of these in and my phone automatically picked it up and asked me to install. This plug works great and was easy to set up and use. My coffee maker is attached to this plug and all I have to do is tell Alexa to turn on coffee and a few minutes later I have coffee.
