Works well with my Google Home set up. I use Tuya to control when it comes on and off based on sunrise and sunset. It takes a while to first figure out how to use smart plugs but once you set one or two up it is a piece of cake. If you have trouble having Google home finding the plug and setting it up, make sure your smart phone is on the same wifi band as the plug. I had trouble and finally realized my phone and the plug were on different wifi bands in my home. Put my phone on the 2.4Ghz band instead of the 5 GHZ band and it connected instantly.

So I know there are mixed reviews with the integration with Alexa but I had no issues. I already had Alexa working with various apps for smart plugs and bulbs (although I do recommend trying to stay with only a few manufacturers so you don’t have to integrate all the different apps with Alexa). I had an outdoor timer for landscaping lights that the mechanical timer function stopped working. I wanted to use a smart plug to just turn it in and off and it has proven to be a much better solution than trying to fight with changing the mechanical timer (which was broken). I don’t know long term reliability but will update later if they don’t last.

Once you get them set up with the Smart Life app, you can link them Samsung SmartThings and Home Assistant. Though linking them to SmartThings (and to Home Assistant, in turn, through SmartThings integration there) is easy, but they unfortunately do not report power consumption in SmartThings. You can link them through the Tuya developer interface to Home Assistant, either with the official cloud integration or a HACS community integration that is local. You do have to jump through a few hoops to do so, however.

I was able to get these smart plugs to connect to wifi and onto the Google home fast and easily. I had a problem with 1 of the 4 plugs and emailed their support, which responded back in a few hours. These were a replacement for another brand on Amazon, that didn't connect after multiple tries so they were returned for these. I am very satisfied with these as these also connect to the smart home app as advertised.

It was frustrating to get these initially setup as they only use 2.4ghz and most of my devices only use 5g at this point. After using an old phone I had in a drawer to set these up they work just like my other smart switches.

These are a snap to set up. I have a lot of devices that work with the smarthome app but these were by far the quickest and easiest to set up.

First - yes these do work and they work well. If all you want to do is download the app that goes with the plugs, there is very little to do except follow the instructions in app to set them up. Then the timer works fine and they are easy breezy. However...if you want to hook them to Alexa then you need a lot of patience, a glass of wine, maybe another glass of wine and then some more patience. It was easier to put together a child's bike with no instructions than to set these up with Alexa. There is the app download for the device, then a third party link up between the two, something about setting up a routine, then making sure Alexa sees the device and then you have to split the atom, determine what "pi" is and find the Fountain of Youth and THEN, and only then, is this "smart" (not so smart) plug paired with Alexa. I was actually so frustrated I printed out the return label, slept on it and tried one more time the next day. Then I got it to work. Bottom line - if you only use the app to go with the plugs, then you don't need wine, don't have to do math and there is no need for a Lewis and Clark Expedition. But if Alexa is involved, be ready for a battle.
