As the headline says, everything worked perfectly. We used the manufacturer's "APP" to sync and control the lights (including scheduling) on my smart phone. Negatives: The plugs only uses 2.4Ghz network, so you'll have to connect your phone to the 2.4GHz band of your WIFI router (which isn't always ideal). The smart phone and has to be on the same WIFI network as the plugs. The scheduler is pretty basic. You can (apparently) add many (unlimited?) schedules. However, you have to add one for "on" and a separate one for "off", pretty cumbersome. The documentation was outdated, pretty much trash. No where does anything say "Find the 'GOSUND' application on Google player (i.e. Android)". Though there seems to be the ability to define multiple sites (i.e. multiple "homes"), I have yet to figure out how to control all the plugs as a single group. Each one must be individually programmed, as far as I can determine. That means, for example, if you have four Christmas Light circuits that you want to turn on and off twice a day, that's four "schedules" to program, in each and every light. So, in conclusion, there's room for improvement, but via schedule over manual override, it turns the lights on and off when they need to be, from one (or two) touches of your smart phone. Wanted to extend my home automation project via my Echo Dot and Alexa. These plugs are small and affordable. It took forever to get them to work with Alexa because you have to install a device specific app (Gosund) and then link Gosund to Alexa. I spent an hour or more trying to use Alexa to link with Gosund to no avail. Finally discovered that it was possible to go the other way, ie launch Gosund and let it link itself to Alexa. That worked and now the devices are installed in my home and working. So high marks for functionality but low marks for Alexa/Gosund integration. ... show more

I now have a dozen of these smart plugs around the hose. They are very easy to set up and active with my Alexa devices. We use them on lamps, fans and even seasonal decorative lights. You just tell Alexa to turn on or off the plug you want it happens. The timer function is great to as you don't have to reset mechanical timers by hand after power outages. Very easy to use the app and to set on/off scheduling. I can't believe how easy to install and how functional these plugs are. I have a toaster cover and have been having to unplug the toaster because the buttons that operate it have been accidentally pressed and previous covers have been burned. Now I simply tell my Echo to turn it off an on, and no more unplugging required. Also have a smart faucet. the outlets beneath my sink are both controlled by the garbage disposal. Because of this, I haven't been able to use the plug to control it and have had to deal with batteries. Now I have the smart plug for the garbage and can leave the switch on so I am able to plug in my smart faucet. Would highly recommend these. ... show more
