Tech support doesn't get to work until 9:45 PM ET. However, Riley was very helpful in getting my Auto Lock to work properly even with the time difference. The auto lock for the deadbolt would not work if the deadbolt was unlocked from the inside. To have your deadbolt lock automatically each time whether opened from the inside or outside you can add a door sensor. It will automatically lock the deadbolt once it detects that the door is shut. Adding the door sensor resolved my issue. Next Lock app indicator always shows the lock as LOCKed even when it's not. But once you add the door sensor the deadbolt will always be locked once the door is fully closed. If you want to be able to Remotely unlock or lock the deadbolt from an off sight location you will need to purchase the G2 Gateway for an additional cost. Otherwise, you will have to be within Bluetooth range. The Next Lock App is very to work and with the G2 Gateway, it's easy to set up anyone to open the lock by assigning a permanent code or a temporary code. ... show more

Wonder door latch and lock setup was easy until the app just use the next lock app it's more dependable. So as far as the finger print reader it's a lil funky at first and some people just have hard to read fingers so take it and a alternative but not main way, the NFC tags are nice and you can even scan you're phone if you have tap function to use as an alt. Key pad is great now if you have lil kids and they push the buttons playing it will go into lock out mode and you ether have to use the app,key or turn the latch from inside I don't have the G2 G3 setup but I think I will be adding that option for the ease of it . Bluetooth with out it does have a distance of like 5 maybe 10' so setup don't forget a chair lol . ... show more

Looks great. Instruction manual not detailed enough. Example would start with APP download. I tried the first scan and could not get anything to work. After hours of troubleshooting I tried the blue download and it worked great. Seems the first one would not accept my left hand door designation. Need to add if one scan doesn’t work try the 2nd down load. Screws for mounting the inside plate etc not strong. I rung off the first one I tried. We bought the lock when we purchased a new front door. We thought the fingerprint would lock the door. So we reached out to customer service and they responded immediately. They resolved it in minutes on how to lock the door (hold down # key). We loved the lock so much that we ordered one for my Gma house. She loves using her fingerprint. One day she placed the finger on their wrong and locked herself and locked the lock. We reached out to customer service again and got Riley who helped us every step of the way. A week or so after installation, the handle broke. It worked great going out of the house but wouldn't open coming into the house. We contacted customer service and they sent a new one out to us in 3 days. The new one works great and we absolutely love the way it looks!
