The media could not be loaded. There’s a lot to like about smart lock, such as generated timed key code, alexa integration, remote status/lock/unlock. But my favorite thing about this lock is the fingerprint entry. It’s got to be the fastest detection and unlock experience I ever had. I took a video to show how fast it is. You can add a bunch of keys and fingerprints through the app easily. There are other ways to integrate such as ifttt. You can set Auto Unlock if you are near the proximity of your home, schedule auto lock at nightly at a particular time, and pretty much any if/then condition available from ifttt. The alexa integration works well, but I found it more time consuming compare to fingerprint. It’s passcode protection since it’s over voice so that extra time needed to unlock. But it’s still pretty cool to be able to unlock your door with simple voice command. The installation took me about 30 minutes. It came with a drill bit for the extra secure. I’m planning to get a new door to match my new lock, so I didn’t drill the extra hole. It felt pretty secure without it, but I would recommend drilling yours. Be sure to read the instructions before starting. I skip one part where there’s a tiny switch inside the lock that designate if the door lock is on the left or right. It basically had my lock/unlock state swiped when I didn’t have it set properly and I had to unscrew everything to toggle the switch. But overall, it’s not too difficult to install. I think this would be great for rentals like airbnb where you can change the code remotely per guest. And to give maid/cleaner their own key code. No longer will you have to pass out a physical key. ... show more

    • UPDATE : save your $$$ after batteries die it shuts down for good
We love the auto lock feature. We set ours to 2 minutes and can hear it lock. It’s quick to use the code, sometimes the finger print feature doesn’t read though. And if you are too far from the door, the app won’t help. We haven’t synced it to Alexa. UPDATE : Batteries died 3 days ago right at the 6 month mark. We replaced with fresh ones yet door will not lock now. Very upset. Don’t know if it’s the heat wave we are having now but I’m very disappointed. Not even sure I can return it at this point.     • Good lock, but extra equipment is needed to use Alexa
The good first. Beautiful lock. App is amazing. The ability to quickly add fingerprints, fobs and send timed/one time codes to friends and family right from the app is such an upgrade to my old manual non-smart keypad lock. Love the Records section giving you a full history of who opened and locked the door and when. Now for the bad. I bought it to work with Alexa only to find out once I got it installed, it only connects to Alexa if you buy another piece of equipment (+$35). This section is an update. I first thought there was no one touch way to lock other than the app or putting your code in because that is what is in the instructions. The instruction sheet leaves out you CAN lock the door by pressing and holding the # button. Also, once attached to Alexa you can tell her to lock the door. After a painful installation, this lock works well and as expected. Finger print feature works very well; take like a second to unlock. IC card is slightly slower but not an issue. It comes with 5 keys! This really surprised me. Usually manufacturer only includes two keys, at most three in my experience. Setting up the account, lock code, IC card, and finger print is very easy and quick. Now the painful part. The instruction isn’t clear on the steps and the type of screw to use so I had to take the lock out like three times. Also, the back cover really can be made better. Very difficult to get the lock perfectly into it. As you can from picture, I just gave up after awhile trying to get it in so it is not perfectly wrapped around it. If you are handy or experienced with this type of things then it might be easy for you. For an average Joe like me, it was tough. ... show more

    • Finger Print Unlocking Can be Tricky
This lock is a great value. The pro’s Four ways to open the lock. With a key, a code, an IC card and fingerprint. The software is incredibly user friendly. Adding fingerprints and codes couldn’t be easier You can give temporary passcodes with an expiration date. The lock comes with a screwdriver and a drill bit for instillation. A nice touch. The app gives you a battery status so you can change the batteries before the batteries die. An timed auto lock function allows you to set a time for the lock to close automatically. A great feature for those who forget to lock their door. Customer Service is responsive. When my first lock would not recognize my finger the majority of the time, after sending them a video, they sent me a new lock The Cons: Instructions could be better. I found a YouTube video more helpful for installation. Customer Service while responsive, is located in China so there is usually a 24 hour delay before you get an answer With the first lock, customer service assured me that a reset would make the fingerprint function work accurately. The reset didn’t help, even though I set five separate accounts for a single fingerprint. The accuracy of a fingerprint never went beyond 25% of the time my fingerprint would open the door. I will update this review when I receive the new lock Update The company sent me a new lock. The first one had a fingerprint accuracy of 25%. The second lock above 75%. For my wife above 90%. I could achieve 90% with the second lock by making four different passwords for the same finger. With a 90% fingerprint recognition I recommend this lock. ... show more
