I have my own painting studio finished and I was looking for a "smart" kind of lock because I need to lock the door, also I don't want to bring a key to open it/lock it every time. I've been eyeing on this one for a long time but was not sure how it works. So finally it went on sale and I decided to try it. I LOVE IT! It's an indoor lock so for me, I don't really need weather resistant or whatever. It was very easy to install, just make sure you don't forget to put the little cable through the back part too. The back cover has a little spring so it was easy to open and remove for installing battery. For the functions, it works well. I set up finger print, ID cards and also PIN code. They were all easy to set up. Then it take 1 sec to unlock using finger print. Then the ID card you just need to make sure you put them between the marks, because you can't just put it anywhere on the handle. It unlocks fast too. Pin code is easy to use but I rarely use it because the finger print works so well. It's been about a month and I don't have a problem with it. The good thing is it also comes with the usb port on the outside, it is for emergency power supply so you can unlock the door and change battery. Oh what a lifesaver! Because when I first installed it, I didn't see the battery in it and I put in an old battery i guess, so it died right after I set everything up and locked me out! So I found the usb port and read the instruction and plugged it in with my battery charger and it worked, so I opened the door and was able to change the battery. Thoughtful design.

When looking for a basic door handle, I came across this biometric one and now I want one on every door. Let me be totally honest, changing a door handle is complicated enough but add in biometrics and passwords and it is daunting. It took me about an hour to get it on the door and set-up with number passwords and fingerprints. Once set-up, it is the easiest thing to use. Everything works as it should and I really like the extra security that I have on my home. The black finish is nice and this door handle feels like a sturdy piece of equipment. A+

I couldn't be happier with this lock. I needed to secure a utility closet that holds both dangerous cleaning supplies and my older son's keepsakes, and this lock has been a total lifesaver. Why it works for us: Versatile Access: It was incredibly easy to program fingerprints for my husband, my oldest son, and myself using the app. Chore-Friendly: We set up one of the included key cards for my middle son; it gives him access to do his chores without him having to worry about codes or fingerprints. Accountability: My favorite feature is the app notifications—I get alerted whenever the door is opened, and it tells me exactly who used it. It’s perfect for peace of mind. Build & Install: The lock is sturdy and well-made. It even came with the tools needed for installation (screwdriver and Allen key). This product works really good only bad thing I have to say is really the consistency of unlocking it with your thumb. Sometimes you have to have your thumb right in the center for it to open. And sometimes it doesn’t work at all and then you would have to use a key or a code for back up. Other than that it’s a good product.
