This was just a breeze to install!!! I had a slight problem with connectivity, which resolved by itself by moving ghe gateway closer to the locks. In the meanwhile, I called tech support and they called back in 1 min!! They noted my issue and called back within 34 mins!! In. the meanwhile, my problem with connectivity resolved two issues i was having,on their own! The process of inviting my family members to be users of the lock, was a breeze too!! The lock works like a charm. I just wish, it was bit heavier. However, the price was just awesome compared to the Kwiksets and the Schlages. Excellent lock! We were replacing an old keyless lock and this one slid right in and was easy to install. Has several great options to lock and unlock …fingerprint (can have up to 50 different fingerprints), number entry, standard key, the phone app, Alexa, and Google. The app was super easy to use and figure out as well as adding Alexa. Usually those options never work for me but these were super easy to install and use. I had and issue at first with getting it to lock (user error, not the lock) and was able to text with customer service and they were quick to respond and solve my issue. Everything works, easy install (except the tiny connector is really tricky to line up and get to click into the connector because of the short wire bundle , app is really easy to use. App is not proprietary, uses Smart Life app. I have had devices use a third party app and the third party app went our of business. So the app works but what if Smart Life goes out of business? As you can see in the picture, the key is about 1/2 in shorter than a standard key. ... show more

Easy to install and easy to use. A great product. Two small issues 1. Fingerprint sometimes does not work 2. Auto lock still acts while the door is wide open. You have to manually retract the deadbolt to close the door.

UPDATE 2/2023: So I originally posted about my problems with the lock, which you can read below. Wow. As soon as I posted about it, I was contacted by the company's customer service to ask how they could possibly rectify the problem for me. Refund, replacement, did I need any help over the phone? What could they do to fix it? That in itself was outstanding, but right when the lock began not working, life got INCREDIBLY busy and I just did not have the time to really address the issue. The deadbolt itself still worked from the inside, so it wasn't as though I had no security. It was the fingerprint and the automated close/open that were an issue. Since we don't often use the door this is on as an entry point to the house, being able to lock it from inside sufficed. And so, life took over and I didn't respond. Marina, the customer service rep who was handling this, kept in touch with me for MONTHS. I explained I had gotten busy, family had gotten sick, things were going on, and she kept in touch without being annoying, to see how they could help. I told her I was going to check the batteries. It took me a while to do that, and then when I wanted to I couldn't find the manual. Marina to the rescue, sent me a pdf of the manual so that I had it to hand as I put in new batteries and then went about resetting the lock! I mean, there was literally nothing she wouldn't do to make this issue right, and these days, when no one seems to care that their product doesn't work, I felt like she was my personal concierge trying to help me resolve this issue. That makes all the difference in the world to me, because when a company stands behind their product and responds with concern when something goes wrong, I feel better about trying them again. A completely different product I recently bought, had an insert asking that if the product was defective, please call THEM first rather than returning the product to Amazon. Ok so I called. SEVERAL TIMES. NO REPLY. Still didn't reply after my review. So this type of customer service really blew me away and gave me faith in trying them again. I'm still deciding whether I want the whole fingerprint thing or not, but I was just really delightfully surprised by the thoughtful outreach from them which was persistent (but not annoying!) to make sure that I ended up a happy customer. I hope others have the same experience; I've not yet replaced the deadbolt so I can't say whether this one is just wonky, but I'd feel confident getting a replacement from them (maybe minus the fingerprints, which seems like a nice feature but is probably overkill for that door.) ************************************************************************** The install of this was pretty easy; we installed the deadbolt by itself for now. I am a little concerned that all of a sudden, the deadbolt is not turning, not for auto-lock, not with fingerprints or codes. The pad registers that a correct code or fingerprint has been entered, but the deadbolt doesn’t turn. This is after having it for maybe a month or so. I tried a reset and will then try new batteries, but the low battery indicator is not coming on and it’s only been a month so not sure if batteries are the issue. Tried calling customer service today (1PM, EST) and got a recording saying they’re closed right now. I’m figuring the company is overseas? If I can’t get this solved I will have to see about a replacement or refund; an electric deadbolt that doesn’t work except manually is sort of defeating the point. ... show more

This lock has great features and looks great. Support from Winter was outstanding. Update... Problem with voice action that was caused by me was patiently handled by Summer to correct my error. Superb service !!! I would give it 10 stars if I could. 2nd Update 3/21/2024: Outstanding customer service!! I received a text from Summer (their customer service rep) tonight, asking if the lock was still performing as designed. It is!!! She said she will contact me again in 4-5 days to verify that I was not experiencing any problem. They CARE!!!! ... show more
