These smart deadbolt electronic locks works great! I had one on one of my door pretty much the same as this one but it didn't have the fingerprint option. This one I really like since the fingerprint recognition was fast and accurate opened up the lock within a second, this locks also came with other options to unlock as well. Including 2 backup keys, passcodes lock and unlock, and also 2 smart card that you just need to tap to the lock to unlock the deadbolt. This smart lock uses the same app as my other lock to manage the unit. Download DDLock app from the app store to manage everything. Note: this lock is Bluetooth controlled and not wifi (need a hub to remotely manage it over the internet). I couldn't figure out how to sync it up to my Alexa but hopefully I'll be able to figure that out in the future. For now Bluetooth is fine. All and all this is a great item and would highly recommend it. ... show more

Easy enough to set up. Seems sturdy and well made. Instructions aren’t hard to follow. This lock makes it easier for the kids to get in and not have to worry about a key.

    • My first smart door lock
I put on this Zowill lock today. I thought it would be complicated but it actually was pretty simple. I followed the instruction which were included and it took about 15 minutes since my previous lock was a standard lock. The only issue I had was getting the inside plate to stay tight agains the door. I used the included screw, drilled a hole and it was done.     • Fingerprint reader works well and it's easy to install
I already have a Zowill lock on our front door and one on our garage door. That lock came with the wifi gateway, so I can remotely unlock it from anywhere. However, it didn't have a fingerprint reader. This one is the same model but adds the fingerprint, so I ordered it to swap out. There's so many ways to unlock this. It can use codes - and they're easy to set up in the app. It can use RFID fobs - it includes 2 cheap ones, but I got some nicer keychain type on amazon for a few bucks. It has keys for emergency use - I keep them at work (just a few minutes away). And it's got fingerprint which is probably the easiest and most natural method. The app also let me sync the codes between the two locks, so I didn't have to program the codes and fobs for the new lock, it just got the info from the first lock. However, the fingerprints do NOT sync, so you have to program them into each lock separately. It's quick - just name the fingerprint in the app and press your finger on the sensor 4 times. After that it works so well. It's quick to read your finger and unlock and I haven't had any errors. ... show more

Really Nice Smart Deadbolt Lock. Easy to install and program. It easy to use with fast responses. So many cool features to unlock. The Key, Fingerprint, App or code. If you purchase the gateway bridge you can control with Alexa. The lock has a great look to it, the lock is well built and is solid. For the price I wish it did come with a gateway. This replaced another “smart” <eye roll> keyless deadbolt lock we had (the old was SO much trouble towards the end: drained batteries every few weeks, would not respond via Home App, keypad was overly sensitive which made us have to key in code MULTIPLE times to unlock it…). This one is a breath of fresh air! Opens INSTANTANEOUSLY upon light fingerprint touch, can be set to self lock after a timed interval in case someone forgets to lock the door when leaving, and is sleek looking and easy to clean. The only thing we could wish for is compatibility with Apple Home App so we have all the house controls in one place. Highly recommend otherwise! ... show more

Installation and set-up is very easy. The app is fairly simple and easy to use. I have tested all of the features except Google Home setup ( I'm a bit of a Neanderthal there), and all have functioned flawlessly so far. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who wonders if they locked the door, or always goes behind their wife/husband to check. It's just peace-of-mind and convenience.
