We were looking for a keyless entry and this one has been great. It looks sleek and not clunky or off putting on the door. I like that this lock has so many functions: code, thumbprint, key card, and even temporary guest codes. We have family who visit us often and arrive before we are home from work so this is an easy way for them to get into our house. When we need a pet sitter we can create a temporary code for them to use for a certain amount of time before it expires. I really loved this lock for my In home daycare and my family. The fingerprint recognition is a very easy, easy quick set up and works great for my kiddos so they don’t need to have a key they’ll just lose. I love the auto lock feature so my house is always safe and secure. The only negative is I want all my daycare families codes to work in the same time frame. (Daycare hours) they each have their own individual code and they can’t be set for the same time frame. So going forward I could just give them all the same code I suppose but I like being able to set it to their name so it’ll tell me who came and left when. ... show more

I wish I hadn’t spent almost $200 for this lock that is so undependable that over 75% of the time I leave the house I have to dig out the key just to lock the darn door. It forgets the codes and fingerprints and even the electronic keychain transmitter aren’t dependable. I had better luck with the Home Depot $59 builder basic than this. Wish I hadn’t waited so long otherwise this thing would have been returned long ago. Do yourself a favor and pass on this one and this recommendation is coming from a 72 year old who usually doesn’t write reviews much less derogatory ones but this one hasn’t worked out at all for me. ... show more

One of my recent clients required an electronic locking system with remote access, monitoring, keypad entry and a standard physical key solution. Based on so many favorable reviews I decided to give Smonet a try. I was quite impressed with the packaging, detailed pictorial instructions, and mounting hardware provided. After installing the Smart Lock in place of an old mechanical deadbolt, I had a number of questions while I waited for the gateway to arrive. I reached out to the manufacturer through their contact us link. Within 24 hours one of their tech support agents, Helen, reached out to me through WhatsApp. She introduced herself and offer to answer any of my questions. From our text exchange she took the time to walk me through the process of establishing a passcode, and explain various options. Awaiting the gateway and additional ecards I asked how one links them up to the Smart Lock. Helen took the time to demonstrate each function by creating a short video of her walking through it on her own smartphone and then sending it to me through WhatsApp. The printed instructions are very good but the short videos with live demonstration were extremely helpful. I have now successfully incorporated the gateway so they customer can monitor each entry remotely. Also programmed five e-cards for the staff each under their respective names. The app is well designed and easy to follow. And the Smart Lock confirms each successful addition with voice response. I am thoroughly impressed with the product design and it's many features to the point that I will install a complete Y1 system in my own house so I can be more proficient on it with future clients. I am most impressed with the timely, courteous, and extensive customer support I have received from Helen overseas. To me, timely customer tactical support is most important with product quality, design, and cost a close second. I will highly recommend this product line to all my current and future clients. Love this for my house. I bought extra key cards off amazon for the family so each kid could have one on their backpack or carry it with them when they go with friends. Super easy to install and app on phone is little funky at first. Finger print doesnt like to work all the time but the key cards work everytime. We’ve had this item for about 10 months now. The installation was a breeze, and the locking mechanism works flawlessly when using a code. However, the fingerprint feature is quite unreliable. I’ve installed the app on my phone, and the fingerprint entry works about 50% of the time. We’ve also added my wife’s, son’s, and daughter’s prints to the system, but they almost never work. If you’re purchasing this product solely for its fingerprint functionality and want to avoid entering a code, I recommend looking elsewhere.
