The media could not be loaded. The food thermometer has always been an essential tool in my kitchen, especially when frying chicken drumsticks, roasting chicken, or making roast beef. Since I’m not the most experienced cook, I often rely on online recipes that give exact times and temperatures. But I’ve found that the result is different, even when following the same instructions, the doneness of the meat can vary. This is especially true when frying chicken drumsticks, they might look perfectly golden on the outside, but sometimes, near the bone, the meat is still red and undercooked. That’s why I’ve always depended on a thermometer. This is my first time using a smart food thermometer, it is much more convenient than the traditional kind, where I had to pull the drumsticks out and manually check the temperature. With this one, I can insert it directly into the meat and leave it in the pot, and it will display the real-time temperature. It also provides suggestions for cooking different types of meat, easy to follow along. Whether I’m using the display on the thermometer itself or the app on my phone, it’s easy to follow. The app shows the remaining cooking time and the internal temperature of the meat, it's handy especially for dishes that take an hour or two to cook. The build quality is good, and the controller has a stand on the back, allowing me to place it on the counter for easy viewing. The display is clear, easy to read. All in all, I’m really happy with how well it works.

Great range, easy to use and set up, and reading is accurate. Helped me smoke an amazing turkey for Thanksgiving. Only two complaints (preferences): 1. Wish the thermostat was magnetic to stick to the side of the grill. 2. Could only stick 1 probe through a vent hole in my grill bc it was too thick with one wire already in it. So had to put the other through the lid. Not a big deal, but I like having the lid completely closed.

The manual states, "The maximum temperature of the sensor inside the probe is 212' F. Temperatures above the maximum temperature may damage the probes." This is true. I put one in the oven at 350 and now it only works a few feet away from the base. Before that, I was happy with the range and accuracy. I can't recommend a product that is only a few degrees away from being DAMAGED at common usage temperatures. The probes last ~15 hours before the dead probe alarm goes off. Before that, they start to lose range as the battery drains. They were intermittently picking up the temp after the alarm went off, but the base had to be very close. I guess the 24 hour claim is with a dead battery probe right next to your smoker.
