This tiny, little device works as advertised. The range is ~ 5 feet. Will distinguish temp differences in environment; definitely will show hot/cold areas in ceiling and walls. Yes, it should show the cat heat signature image. Not for hunting animals at distance. I like mine it is handy and novel.

I first saw this product on a social media site and was interested. I was pleasantly surprised once I found out that Amazon had it and once it came in I was shocked on how well it worked. For the price point and size it is great, as a home owner checking on the heat/ac vents and outlets to automotive. Very handy if you are looking for someone that doesn’t want to spend a lot on a “might” want.

Nice small thermal camera. It has both a normal camera and a thermal camera. Simple to use, up/down and left/right screen swipes lets you change between cameras and color palettes. It freezes for a second every 10 seconds or so, but then continues. Can take pictures, but not videos. Nice for a small easy to use thermal, more of a fun toy, not really what a professional would use, but a lot of fun in a small package. Comes with a nice carrying case.

Works great if you know what to expect, I would not trust the specific readings, but this is a great option for seeing where your temperature deltas are. You could find an insulation leak, a heating up electronic component, or just see where your pets were laying down (also can find pee spots) definitely worth $100 but don’t expect accurate measurements.

The form factor is amazing but temps are 10-20 degrees F off from what they should be. Another similarly priced thermal camera from Amazon reads correct. Doe instance, a beverage from a freezer set to 34 reads 33 on the other scope while this one read 22. It's not useful if it's that far off.
