This little outlet adapter was perfect for what I needed. Had the super long power connector from some lights that stuck way out. This adapter plugs right and plugged the lights in and save myself about 75% of the space that was making me put my cabinet from the wall.

I chose these over some alternatives that seemed slimmer but didn't brag about the UL listing like this one does. They're good, solid, not super heavy, and feel sufficiently safe. There's no "up" plug, just sides and forward, so if your main goal is to route, say, a camera USB power adapter so it's not poking 6-8cm into the room, it'll do that, but it goes sideways, not up to where the camera likely is. Nevertheless, it meets the need. Maybe certain popular USB-powered doodad manufacturers will take note and reduce the importance of these one day (hint hint). ... show more

These are fine in certain applications but the Leviton cube tap is higher quality, yes over twice the price but the plugs grip better that this unit. I won't be returning them but I won't be confidant to use them in all applications.
