I like crema on my coffee and this does a really good job, as good as Starbucks. It is great that you pick the bean you want, I like lightly roasted. If you "long-push" the coffee button, it makes a double. I fill the the coffee basket pretty full, and do 2 "long-push" cycles. The coffee is very good. Why not 5 stars? One very irritating "design flaw" is: You start the operation with the water control knob in the "preheat" position. Wait a very short amount of time, the coffee button light comes on. HERE is the design flaw. If you immediately just push the coffee button while in the "preheat" mode, you are going to get a cup of coffee "pee-ed" over your counter. Since this is a "lets say invalid or illegal" action (pushing the coffee button when in preheat) why didn't they just dis-allow that possible action in their design? This is really stupid. I have mentally warned myself repeatedly, but when I see the coffee button light up I just push, and then have to get the rags out to clean up. Another issue is there is some inconsistency in the amount of water that is driven through. In my "double push long coffee" operation, sometimes I get a brimming full cup, sometimes it is 80% full. So some un-understood variation. All in all it makes a great cup of coffee, just get the mop-up rags ready. ... show more

I’ve had many espresso makers and this one has been the best The espresso, comes out very creamy . The taste is really good . The machine takes a few seconds to start, but otherwise it works really well. It does not take up a lot of counter space either .

    • simple, easy to use
it's not a fancy espresso machine, but that's part of the beauty of it. you don't need to be a barista to know how to use one. we are not coffee snobs at this house, but we do enjoy strong coffee, so this was perfect. it's a quick way to get a really nice and smooth cup of espresso in the morning in just a couple minutes. the set includes a scoop/tamper combo, but it's plastic and not one that I would be comfortable putting much force into, so I would definitely plan on getting a 51mm tamper to compliment the machine. we did find that we got the best results from a "turkish coffee" grind from the store, rather than just an espresso grind. This is my first espresso maker and I have fallen in love with the cappuccino! I am not really great at it yet but it’s a work in progress. They send you all you need to get started except a milk steaming pitcher but you can use a glass if you need to. I like that it has a decent sized water container on the back so you aren’t haven’t to refill it all the time. The milk steamer does spit out water before it does the steam, I am not sure if that is normal or not, but I thought I would note in on the review. I have been using it almost every day for about a month and I am very happy with it! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This is such a quaint space saving coffee maker. Absolutely love the stainless steel look, and the slim design fits perfectly in between the odd space between my refrigerator and cooktop. Setup is easy. The english on the booklet is a bit off, but still manageable. The milk frother is a great addition. My only complain would be that I wish they had also provided a milk frothing cup. ... show more
