  • Good for the price
Puts out lot of heat for it's size

  • Small but powerful
The media could not be loaded. This is an amazing ceramic heater. It is really doing a great job of heating an un-heated hallway in my house. It is made of a plastic housing about 9" tall, 6" wide and 5" deep with a metal grill. It has LED based controls on the top of the unit and a remote powered by 2 AAA batteries (not included). The unit has three heat settings (or modes): H1 which is 1500 watts, H2 is 1000 W, H3 is 750 W, and a setting called ECO which is supposed to automatically select the optimal heating power based on the indoor ambient temperature. That is the setting we have been using, and it really gets the hallway (about 15" long by 4" wide) warm in a matter of minutes. I haven't noticed if the unit changes heating power in this setting. I turn the unit off when the hallway gets warm (which may defeat the purpose of the ECO setting?). It does have some safety features; at 15000 W it draws 12.5 Amps which is probably close to most outlets max (15 Amps AC) so the instruction manual warns you - do not use an extension cord, do not use a power strip and do not plug in another appliance into the same outlet when in use. It does have a tip over switch which works well. It will shut off automatically if it gets too hot (hasn't happened to me yet) It is fairly loud, but I am OK with that as it really warms up fast. It has an odd count-down from 30 seconds when you turn it off, but this is probably so that you don't touch it too soon after turning it off (as the manual states) the front surface can be very hot to the touch when in use. You can also set a timer, but it is not based on time-of-day operation but on number of hours you want it to run (0-12 hours). Overall, despite some quirks, it does the job I need it to do, and it does it very effectively for what in my opinion is a fair price. ... show more

  • Gets really hot, but doesn't pop the circuit breaker
So anyway, I once had a portable heater that, when used, would pop the circuit breaker if I used anything else on that circuit. Like the overhead light. So I'm always a little nervous about space heaters. Yes, this is tiny & it probably isn't a huge deal. But still. Hence the pictures of the Kill-A-Watt. The low setting used 5.71 amps; mid setting uses 8.65 amps; and super hot uses 13.22 amps. Just the fan (without heat) uses 0.22 amps. The highest setting is actually too hot for me (and I grew up in Phoenix, AZ), but the low works just fine. I probably won't plug a toaster into the same place while this is running, but other than that, I'm not worried about needing to turn the breaker back on. For security, there is a little button on the bottom that has to be pressed so the heat stays on. As long as it's upright on something hard, the button will compress. This comes with a remote, but NO batteries. It takes 2 AAA. The remote is set up with the same buttons as the main control panel, and both remote and panel work just fine. I really like this. The low setting gets very warm very quickly. When you turn it off, the fan runs for 30 seconds without heat (there's a countdown clock) and then shuts off. Since I moved to someplace that actually snows once in a while, it's nice to have this in a room if I don't want to heat up the whole house. ... show more

  • Decent Heater. Fan? Not So Much
Considering that it's January, and the cold isn't in any hurry to vacate our area, a little additional heat looked to be attractive. So, this heater was ordered. Delivery required 3 days which, according to the delivery date estimate, was right on time. The heater, and its factory packaging, were in good shape. This heater isn't super small but is more on the medium size at about 8" tall, 6 inches wide and 4-5/8" from front to back. It weighs about 2-1/2 pounds. I like that it has three heat settings: 750, 1000 and 1500 watts. Along with a no-heat, fan-only mode. But, I don't ever recall using a heater as a fan. Plus, the air movement from this "fan" is minimal. A better use would be to use the fan function to cool the heater down before shutting it off. YMMV. The controls are right on top. There's also a remote control. But, unless you can see the top panel, some remote settings might be a bit on the iffy side. The remote requires two AAA batteries which were not included. Its effective range appears to be just over 15 feet. The front grille is metal but the remainder of the housing appears to be plastic. Its two-conductor cord is 5 feet long. The heater has a tip-over safety switch which is very effective and requires a power button push to override once the heater is returned to the up right position. All-in-all, this is a decent heater with three heat settings. ... show more

  • Get the job done
This little heater gets the job done! it heats up a small room very easily and that’s exactly what I needed it for. One of our rooms does not get the central heat for some reason and the apartment that I live in will not fix it and so I decided to buy a small heater for it. This heater heats up this room so fast and it heats up very quickly! it comes with a remote which is a A++, It has so many different settings to it. It’s almost like the Dreo brand space heater that I have in my other room with the same settings, same type of remote so I would definitely recommend this heater. ... show more

  • Small heater packs a lot of power
This little heater is very effective. It thoroughly heated an approximately 600 sq ft room. The room it’s in was freezing in the winter. We decided to give this a try to warm it up. I was skeptical at first because the heater is so small. I was wrong..this thing works so well. I unplugged some other items in the room because I was afraid it would blow a fuse. So far that hasn’t happen. The heater is very straightforward to operate. It has multiple temperature settings. It’s pretty quiet too. My daughter says the sound it does make is like relaxing white noise. This plugs in to a standard outlet. I love that this doesn’t take up much space too. I would buy again if I ever needed another tiny heater. ... show more
