We used this fan for our diode, laser engraver, and it aids the exhaust system quite well. It definitely is on the cheaper side of things, but serves its purpose and has yet to fail us. We tend to get pretty good exhaust out of this 4 inch line even with windier weather outside.

    • great little fan
I use this as an exhaust for my resin 3D printers. It has worked flawlessly, and the adjustable speed feature has been a godsend. It's also surprisingly quiet.

    • Tiny but it moves some air
Ok, my fault, I didn't really process that this wasn't the typical 4" (100mm) PC and other case fan when I ordered it. 80mm is roughly 3". That said, it moves more air than a typical case fan, and it comes with a nice shroud and controller. I'm not positive that it would be enough for say a 40w laser, but for a 5 or 10, or maybe to circulate air or exhaust smells from a 3D printer it would be a good choice. ... show more

It fits my 3D enclosure perfectly. It should do the job of keeping the temperature correct automatically with the addition of a thermostat controller and the fans variable speed control

    • The best thing ever!
Works perfectly and fits ipower 3” duct. Does suck air into duct and cans flip around to suck air in from duct as well. Can put metal screen on both sides as well. Same with duct adapter as stated above can screw on both sides.
