Fit Perfectly on my Subaru Outback. This is a great tarp setup. I used the tarp at a state campground for 4 nights and 5 days. So many people stopped to check out my setup ,even the park rangers! They gave me the 2 thumbs-up. The tarp is definitely waterproof and seam sealed. Not one drop of rain came through. I was the only one cooking in the rain. I'm a 5'2" female and I set it up by myself. I fish saltwater. I tied a modified clinch knot and a triple surgeons loop as my knots and it worked perfectly. I also put weights around the poles since I was in a state campground and expecting 30 mph winds, that never happened. My friends and I set up under the tarp with my portable firepit and you couldn't tell it was raining. Not a heavy rain just steady. Great purchase. I will be primitive camping in a few weeks. I cannot wait to set this tarp up again. Happy camper! ... show more

Just came back from the WBDR (washington backcountry discovery route) with a convoy of 8 rigs, and this thing was awesome super lightweight was compact and didn’t take up any space. The materials it is made out of is thin enough to be light weight but doesn’t feel cheep at all and the provided tent poles are heavy duty with steel cord holding them together. Set up was easy to do with one person but it’s easier with a friend and it provided a very large footprint of shade and rain cover perfect for our camp kitchen, take down was just as easy and it wasn’t a issue fitting it back into the bag with everything. Definitely very happy with this purchase for the intended use and will probably be buying another one to use for extra lounge cover. Definitely worth the money! ... show more

Finally got to use this tent/tarp on quick car-camp outing. The best thing about this is the size! We had 2 adults and 4 kids hiding from the sun under this tarp. Its tall enough for most of us to move around. The poles and tie-down give plenty of options to angle it in way to block sun as it moves across the sky. I was worried about 'trapping' my truck in the campsite. This is why I refuse to get a car-top tent or car-mounted awning. I don't want to re-pack my campsite just to drive to a trailhead or fishing hole. With this, I was able to disconnect the tarp from the truck and stake down front without dropping the poles. The media could not be loaded. Look, if you’re an overland enthusiast with a million dollars worth of stuff dangling around your car, you probably won’t like this. Or won’t need this. Well, I’m not one of them and this tarp fits the bill. I’m more of a camping enthusiast and I don’t mind setting things up manually. I like to take time with things and do things slow. Why are you even camping if you’re in a hurry, after all? Having said that, it really isn’t that hard to set up nor takes much time setting up. You don’t need to know all kinds of fancy knots to tie things up neither, thanks to the buckle system. This tarp is huge and gives you enough space to do things under shade. I probably wouldn’t run and try to set this up if it’s already pouring outside, even though it looks like it can hold some rain as long as they’re gentle. For me, it’s more useful for shades and the cozy vibe it gives. Also, I like the color of this tarp and I’m glad they didn’t go with stupid bright florescent multi-colors. Like the stuff you’d get from REI. No offense. I like REI. One concern: my car is a Wrangler and when I leave the back window (cargo window) open, it creates stress points on where those pointy tips meet the tarp. Nothing crazy but we’ll see how it holds up over time. For now, it’s a vibe. ... show more

I've used this on 2 different trips, I mainly wanted this for shade on our SW trips and then also a dry ceiling to set up our tent for camping. It took 2 mins to set up from the vehicle and about 5mins to set up as a A frame. It was raining when I set up the tent (kept attached to car) and this kept us dry and then provided a nice sitting area extended from the tent.
