My dog is 25 pounds and the Large size fit him great, except he is very long, so i cut the bottom velcro parts of the suit off. This suit is easy to cut and doesn't fray at all. It's so easy to put on and off, even when he was grumpy and lethargic from the surgery meds. He got a cyst removed by his shoulder, so only his top half needed to be covered. Even with cutting off the bottom and the short sleeves, he couldn't get to the surgery spot at all. Sometimes i left it half way unzipped and just kept the velcro part connected so his wound could breathe a bit. It definitely helped the healing process and he didn't seem to mind the suit even though he absolutely hates wearing other sweaters even in the rain.

Upon initial receipt everything looked good. I actually bought 2 of these in different sizes and colors. First off, the sizing is extremely on the larger size. So size down 1 or even 2 sizes. Per their sizing guide the dog one was purchased for should have fit an XXL. However, I purchased a large for a different pet, again per their size guide. Well she was swimming in the XXL. It was huge on her. And the same for the large on the other pet. We really needed one for the larger dog so we decided to try the large on her and it fit perfectly. She wore it for a few hours and the stitching started coming apart. She was not overly active while wearing it as she had been spayed a couple days before. I also ordered The Wonder Suit as well which is designed by a vet. It costs more but is well worth the extra $.

Great fit for my female dachshund. It prevented my dog from licking while being much more comfortable than a cone. But I have no idea how long it will last. It's pretty lightweight material. I can see where the stitching on the Velcro straps can tear the fabric if not careful where you grab when pulling the Velcro straps apart. I washed it a few times and it held up in the laundry just fine. My dog was able to escape the suit when I was not home, but she never tried when I was around to watch. I was afraid it would get wet when she pee'd because of the retaining straps around her tail, but that never happened.

I purchased this recovery suit to make sure that my pup Sophie, had the best opportunity to heal after her surgery where she had a fatty lump removed. I had a different suit which had a bunch of snap buttons that held it together but it took to long to get it on Sophie and did not make it easy to pull it back for her to handle her "business". This recovery suit was so easy to put on Sophie! More importantly it allowed me to keep the wound area covered by easily unstrapping the legs so she could go outside with the suit still on! Oh... and... it also seems to double as comfort suit as well. It helped calm her down during this years fireworks!

Bought a medium for my 15 lb chihuahua/dachshund mix. The Velcro that holds the leg pieces up is somewhat adjustable. This would work well for my 15 pound pure dachshund who is a bit longer or one with a shorter back. I was really happy that it stayed in place and didn’t slide down. There’s a little extra room in the belly on my trim dog, which is great to keep it from rubbing on the surgical sight. I’ve washed and dried it everyday for a week on a normal cycle and used it daily. There’s a little pulling on the arm holes, but it’s held up great and looks like it will be long lasting.
