I bought this PC in early June 2023. The date is important. I got it specifically and solely for running the flight simulator DCS World, which had specific requirements such as iCore 5, 3+ GHz, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070. I'm a Mac person at home, and at work my IT department hands everything about my desktop, so I know little about Intel PCs and Windows. So searching on Amazon bought up lots of PCs with specs that made little sense to me, but I did notice that most were less than 3 GHz and had GTX 1060 or lower numbered GeForce video cards. Then this one popped up with its RTX 4070 card. This system also ran a 3.7 GHz, so it was looking real good as my choice. It was vague on some things like number of USB ports - I needed four and the description specs listed two different types with one each, which seemed strange. So I then went to the Sketech website to see if I could get more on the specs... and there was nothing about this PC, just their Shadow 3 PC. This gave me some pause, was this some old PC that had been gathering dust in their warehouse and selling it here a way to get rid of unsold inventory. However reading online about NIVDIA it turns out the RTX 4070 was one of their newest high tier video cards having just been released in April 2023. Clearly this was a new PC too. So I went ahead and ordered. It arrived - the box containing the unit was a bit beat up but it was well packed in an Amazon box, so that damage must have happened in the shipping from Skytech to Amazon. One of the base feet was broken off, but nothing worth returning it as once in place on the floor it sits fine. Looking at the box it said "Shadow IV" and the paperwork indicated a May 2023 assembly, so new it was not yet on their website. It also had four USB ports; two on top and two in the rear. Be sure to read all the instructions before hooking it up - some of the ports in the rear deck are not active and it has a lot of internal cabinet form stuffing to protect components while being shipped that have to be removed. I’ve had the pc for a while now and follow every rule they give you to keep her in mint condition including dusting her constantly. She runs smooth and extremely fast. This PC is a phenomenal deal for someone looking to play modern games at high settings on a budget. The 12th gen i5 powers through all I need from emulation to development (with some obvious bottlenecks with processor intensive tasks during) and the RTX 3060 handles most everything very well at maximum settings. I am only driving a 1080p monitor with this, so obviously higher res setups will see lowered performance. That's not to say that everything is perfect though. The RAM is very underwhelming, with slowdowns experienced while running some tasks concurrently. It's for sure my biggest issue with the system and slightly disappointing as better performing memory runs a consumer cost difference of about $10. This was a gift for my son, so I have not see the specs and performance running...but a nice suprise on the water cooler, keyboard and mouse that we were not expecting. Got this computer only for playing games on it. I’m not a computer savoy person necessarily considering I use a Mac for work but this one was extremely easy to set up and use. It came with a computer and mouse that work great for me. I’ve tried multiple games on this via steam and haven’t had a single issue and for the most part this has played them all a very high or the highest graphical settings on the games. Looks and runs great, my only issue is it came with a damaged leg but it's still fine so long as I hang onto it when I move it. The packaging and protection was great, because whoever had it during the transit beat the hell out of the box.

I did some research looking at either building a pc myself of buying a prebuilt one. In the end I needed one in a pinch so I opted for a pre-built since I was on a bit of a rush to complete some 3D rendering work for a project. Overall, the packing was really good. Nothing was damaged. All the parts were neatly packed and I didn’t notice anything unplugged or installed wrong. I’ve had the PC for a couple weeks now and I have had no issues. I’d consider purchasing from Skytech again in the future. Its plenty powerful and been so fun to game on. As an apple user, my MacBook Pro just couldn’t handle the rendering I was trying to do — but this thing handles anything I throw at it like a champ. ... show more
