We use these for making lunch meat with turkey, chicken or bologna. Will only hold about 2-2.5 pounds apiece that's why got the set of 2. Our pot we boil with will hold the 2 at once so works well. Work the meat down in them slap them down on cutting board good then put the spring lid on and it will make a nice tight product.

The product is easy to use and good quality as described. My only issue here is that the thermometer is fairly short, so if you only want to do, say a single pound of meat, when compressed and inside the canister, the thermometer does not reach down into the meat as designed. If you are not doing small batched, you should be perfectly fine.

Works as intended. One of the lids is a bit looser than the other in this two pack but it still holds on due to the spring. you just have to be careful. Great product for the price point.

The thermometer melted, just from the heat in the oven while taking temp. I didn't leave it in the tube for more than 15 seconds and the lense melted at 400 degtees before it even got to an stable reading. The pusher will go off center and waste 1/3 of your meat.
